I'm not aware of any other members from China.

What are your goals?  I understand from a previous post that you may not be pursuing a bride but instead starting out with some pen pals and email correspondence.

Before we all start on this journey we need to think seriously about our readiness for the emotional and financial costs ahead.  it's a difficult path but for the few who end up happily married it's worth it.

If you're not seeking marriage, or as a result of some self assessment you decide you're not ready yet you might find the challenges almost impossible.  if you're ready and capoable I'm sure you'll find excellent advice here.

yes,Kuna,i have ever got the thought married with a FSU girl out of my mind.but i get realised that it's hard or say impossible for me to do that.i thought it through seriously.it's really really hard.i eager,but i can't.so what i just can and have to do now is to make friends with them.and do you think there will be someone who would like to be my friends?

I'm sure you'll be able to find someone to be your penpal.. it might not be easy but I'm sure you can.

I wold focus on the penpal sites and start out writing to many people.  You might find many girls in FSU don't have Internet at home and find it difficult to get to Internet cafe's regularly but you never know.. someone might be waiting right now to write to someone from China.

I think you are playing out of your league.  I also think you are not playing with a full deck.

Your country has added to your problems by advocating abortion of the female fetus, thus there are fewer females for you to choose from.  Now you are a population of over a billion with a shortage of young females.  Get used to it.  It is your culture that is at fault.   The possibility of a Russian woman to bear children, maybe male children, will not solve your problems.  Rose,,, you need to sort out the problems of your culture before you attempt to solve things here.

i do not think it's of culture that matters.we do not advocate abortion of the female fetus,it's so bad both to moms and ourselves.what we do is to control the population of our country by some other ways, but not by advocating abortion.

yeah,we have a shortage of young females,but we have changed our strategy to permit one family has more than one child in some conditions.so i think it will be fine in the near future.yes,it will.

jb, It's just not right to throw the weight of an entire culture on one man's shoulders.  Certainly I, too, disagree with some of China's policies, but then I also disagree with some American policies as well.  I'm glad no one expected me to fix everything wrong with my culture before seeking a RW.

It's not just China.  Since the advent of the sonargram, there are a few other cultures/countries which place higher value on having male offspring busily aborting female children.   For example, I wouldn't want to be a 25 y.o. man in India in 2050 either.
