There are plenty of interracial couples in my city, it's not even worth commenting on. That said, I've met at least one guy looking for a Russian woman who's chief attraction is his belief that he'll never have to worry about her skipping town on him for a black man, so you have a point 

 

I've also met a Russian woman who worked one Summer in Atlanta and before she returned home she got engaged to a local black guy. It was not an easy courtship. She was from Nizhny Novgorod and was afraid to have him visit her there because of the less-than-warm reception he'd receive from friends and family. Every guy wants to visit his girl on her own soil, to meet her family, see her among friends, etc., right? Anyway, last I heard he'd filed K1 papers and she was awaiting her interview. But as you can see, even with two people for whom race is no issue, external factors can make their courtship all the more difficult.

My family and my CLOSE friends, and my boss even, lol, know about my preferences. So if I meet good and serious balck guy there will no worry for him - they accept him. And it doesn't matter for me what other people will think or say. 

Personally, I wish you and Iceman all the best, but he should be aware that this is an already difficult and perilous process, adding more hurdles only increases his risk.

No chance for me, lol - he is 21 y.o. And I am 38.

Lily I'd have to respectfully disagree with you.  I'm Asian and my wife (soon to be ex in an amicable divorce) of 5 years had no problem with me being Asian.  Quite a few of her married Russian women friends have also told her in private that they find me attractive and more than one has told her she'd want to sleep with me.  My wife's friends in Moscow all accepted me without hesitation as well as her family.  Perhaps when you say non-white you are only talking about African American men?  Not sure and I'll let you answer that.

I'm half Asian and a few ladies in St. Petersburg were eyeballing me. Though I do realize some women wouldn't consider me as a mate based on my race.

I noticed a few black people in my recent trip to St. Pete. One black boy on a school field trip were playing with Russian boys at a park as if there was no racial problem. A russian girl sitting on a fence had her legs wrapped around her black boyfriend. People passing by didn't seem to care or stare.

of course expections happen, and I am very glad for those people.

I told my general observation about all non-white people that has been supported by people I know. However, the African people have less chances for a relationships in the FSU if compared with Asian and Latinos.

If we take the Middle Asian countries of the FSU, there are mostly Asian people living there, so no problems for the Asians to win hearts!

It is always bad when people judge a person by his skin

I remember earlier  I always experienced such racial attacks at school because of my big dark eyes and dark brown hair and naturally tanned skin , I got even like a nickname at school some very offensive one. I remember people always confused me with turkish , armenian  or even indian and sometimes jewish person. I should say it is quite a negative experience  to be always checked by militia always carry passport to show that you are truly moscovite. I think it humiliates people and of course I got only negative impression about all these things being not traditionally russian  blonde and I suffered somehow and when I was  a teenager these racial views developed a lot of complexes  in my personality only through years I managed to get rid of some of them.

Concerning Afro americans I do not think they have problems here in Moscow at the moment but I also can agree that they are not very popular among girls here , that is just how it is

I think that .001 % of Russian and Ukrainian women would be interested in a black man for marriage.

I would recommend Iceman venturing to Ethiopia. Ethiopian women are very beautiful and they would obviously prefer black men.

Of course, if you listen to the big tour companies, they say that blacks are in high demand in the FSU. Just come on their tour and see!!! I used to wonder about that claim when the one or two blacks on a given tour were left sitting around the hotel lobby at night without dates.

In all my fiancee visa cases over the years, the number of BM and RW/UW cases were about .5% and the number that actually arrived was about .25%.

Much greater success (engagements) were had in Latin America. As far as the actual marriages, the tour agencies do not keep track due to the low success rate overall.
