My fiancee will be here one day in the US on a I-129F fiancee visa (already filed). I know people have mixed feelings about having dual ceremonies, etc. but I am looking for feedback and examples from the members here on what kind of ceremony, etc. I can do in Ukraine after we have our "formality" of signing the paper here to make us legally married and meeting the requirements of the I-129F. Bottom line is I would like to do as much of a ceremony or whatever as possible in Ukraine that is legally allowed after being married in the US. Thats where I would like all the celebration to take place as much as is feasible. I know if I wanted my cake and eat it too, I would have done an I-130. However, that's not an option and I want to see what kind of things members here did or heard of in a way to allow family and friends to share in the celebration and as much tradition as possible in Ukraine.

Church "Engagement" ceremonies with no paperwork of any kind being filled out or signed with any government agencies is about as close as you can get. Leave your pen at home and put a cast on your writing hand. . . . .

You can pledge before God since that does not lead to a valid marriage.

NO official ceremonies. . . .
