I almost wonder if there isn't an illness in her future? Perhaps a serious, near fatal bout of hypochondriasis?

Perhaps a serious, near fatal bout of hypochondriasis?
From a heart specialist ? That would be very disappointing, a crippling ischemia would be more appropriate.

TC, you should ask her learned opinion about some mild heart condition you're experiencing (medical, rather than sentimental ;)), and see her reaction, if any.

Yeah, or maybe a accidental exposure to radiation at Chernobyl  could be cured if expensive life saving treatments were conducted right away? LMAO!!!!!!! It would be funnier if it was someone else that was getting scammed and not me.

Even though I know its coming, Im still going to be bummed when the request for cash hits my inbox.

"TC,"

This is a learning process and perhaps if nothing else it may have wet your appitite as far as romantic involvement with an FSUW. I can say that in my experience, with my RW <YMMV> that things seemed to progress naturally in the 'writing' phase. Not once was there an overabundance of immediate infatuation, etc... One thing which may have helped with this though is that I made it clear that I intended to visit with in after some months if things worked out. I think there is a strong element sometimes in this of 'trust your gut'.

I think you are right about that ECR. I wasnt looking for Russian women but all of the sudden I came across one I liked and today I have been on a site about RW for 10 straight hours (which is embarrassing for me to admit since I should be doing other things). But I had to get a few things out of my system and it seemed I was being very productive today on settling these issues. So when Im in the zone I like to see it through to completion. During this record setting 10 hours, I have given some thought to the Russian female phenomenon. What makes me feel I may become a RW type guy is that the men here all seem intelligent professionals ((Except this trailer park guy I read about). When you guys talk about stuff I get what your saying. Well lets just say Im keeping an open mind on things.

Im pretty much done posting about me here accept I will continue posting my email communications with Nadya till she asks for money. I think it has value or will have value someday to someone.

I came across a thread called "She wants to visit". Its about this self proclaimed ugly guy that lives in a mobile home with his mom and brother in a trailer park with no job, no car and no life worth living. He asked for advise on what to do about this hot Russian girl that wants to come visit him after they have been talking a long time and she is now deeply in love with him. Its people like him that usually call the suicide hot line for advise not a website for expensive projects like Russian Women. LMAO!!  I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. So many tears that they were falling on my key board and I was a little concerned about getting electrocuted. So I had to stop and have a drink to calm down. LMAO!  After I got done laughing so hard about the initial post, I read on. The people here posted extremely funny remarks about this guys situation and it wasnt long before the key board electrocution issue was a concern again.

Im only on the second page of the 8 page thread. I had to take a break and read your post to my thread. I have my funny bone back under control and the key board dried off. So I have to go back and finish page two. This site has a lot to offer and Im very happy I stumbled across it.

Thanks you
TC

Somehow I have come across several scammers who don't seem to ask for money.
These women who would write you emails on a daily basis, long detailed emails often with professionally taken photos. They will not have a phone at home or a mobile phone either. The correspondence can go on and on, if you tell them you are coming to visit them they would say that is great. However would anyone take the risk of flying to the interior of Russia to meet a woman who does or does not exist?
I wonder of some of these are not after money but just sadistic men/women who want men to go on a wild goose chase.
Perhaps similar to those who spend their time in creating computer viruses, obviously of no financial benefit to them personally.

Ill keep printing her letters. The minute she asks for money her picture hits the net.
TC

What will you do if she ask for money in 6 months, for example, - still post here?
what will you do if she won't ask you for money?
what will you do if she is honest, but someday she'll find all her letters posted here?

Well, one quick way to see if she's lying (and put your mind at ease over it) is to look at her email header... she claims that she is writing from an internet cafe... so...

look through the header for The Bat.  It may have Professional, or v1.60, etc. following it - that doesn't matter. The Bat from an "internet cafe" is a dead giveaway, unless it's her personal computer she keeps at the cafe.  Or any other non web client email program (Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora...)  If you see our friendly flying mouse in her email header, while claiming to be writing from an internet cafe.. she's not for real or a liar, either way not what you're looking for.

No need to post her picture as it's unlikely that the lady in the photo has anything at all to do with the scam other than someone nabbed her photos and is sending them out through email.  ;)

These scammers are getting pretty good. Describing their fake day to day lives at work in hospitals etc. Describing in detail what they eat. Maybe if they put their efforts towards writing novels they could have a decent job  :cluebat:

I write long letters sometimes but haven't got really long letters like those from real girls. I'm sure it's possible but their doesn't seem to be much personalized content. It's a sure give away, or at the very least a real turn off.

Probably why they send so many pics or beautiful girls... to keep ya turned on  ;D

Why dont you suggest that you have found a way to come visit her and see what she says? Mafia and bandits roaming the streets, Mongol hordes pillaging, etc.

Last summer we had the worst time trying to avoid the Mongol Hordes that were out on pillaging missions. You can never be too careful with those Mongol Hordes!

The bat means she is or is not writing from internet cafe?

The Bat! means she's not really writing from an internet cafe.  It's simply an email program like MS Outlook, or Mozilla's Thunderbird.  The Bat! is very common with scammers due to the high volumes of email, capabilities of auto responder add ins, and the ability to manage multiple email accounts (one Fat Yuri can be 50 different ladies at once).  You only set up an email program on a restricted access (your own) computer.  A girl writing through an agency might have The Bat! in the headers because the agency might d/l her email and set up a rule for her email to arrive into her own inbox folder.  It's simply not practical for a lady using a public computer to set up and use an email program.  So, if she says she's writing from an internet cafe, but you check the email header and see The Bat! you know she's lying... or extremely stupid I guess (that's a joke.. she's lying).

a little more about this and a sample header here:

I saw the bat signal! I got here as fast as I could  8)

Those kind of bats sound scary.  :P

I had an incident with bats when I was young...

The solution was to BECOME the fear...

To lessen my fear of Fat Yuri perhaps I should become him... or a hot FSU chick... on second thought theres enough of that going on in Sydney's Oxford Street  :puke:

How to kill an e-mail scammer:

1) analyze the header. The girl says she is from Kirov but IP adress is from Yoshkar-Ola.
90% of scammers are eliminated
2) ask for a phone number, it doesn't matter if it is a friend's phone, parents, cousin whatever
9,9% of scammers eliminated
3) The scammer calls you after you give them a mobile phone for instance. Can you talk with her several times? No?
It is a scam!
0,1% eliminated

This strategy kills all the buggers out there :P

Her email extension is kazanembox.com. But No BATS or other "Pro" Identifiers. Is anyone familiar with kazanembox.com? I tried accessing the server root directories with no success. I think kazanembox.com is a "Pro-service" like McDonalds.com. (Unlike yahoo.com  or hotmail.com but I could be wrong about that). I also found an excellent scammer website. http://www.romancescam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=67. It gives picture of the girls holding up scammer signs. Probably as some sort of punishment. Im kind of in a rush today so I didnt have time to go into too much but it looks like something I will spend more time on in the next few days.

Am I the only one who thinks that it is premature to be posting these letters without this woman having done anything to definitively prove herself a scammer?

She probably is a scammer but so far this has not been proved.  Until it has been proved I think that posting what is private correspondence is inappropriate.

Philb

I am leaning towards agreeing with you on an ethical level concerning posting the letters. Im going to feel like such an a.s.s. if Im wrong. But I also see value in watching it unfold with out knowing the answer for absolute certainty. Hind site is 20/20. If she already definitively revealed herself, every "after the fact " critic would say how obvious it was and show all the signs in every letter like it was a no brainer. But here we get to analyze the unfolding with reasonable certainty but not with 20/20 hind sight. I think it gives us a better understanding of what the victim sees and struggles with when the facts are only suspected but not known for certain. You yourself admit reasonable certainty on the scammer conclusion. But are not completely convinced which is why I think you will continue to visit here and see what happens.

While my morality has some small underlying issues with what I have done, I believe it has greater value beyond that. So, if the moderators don't object, it stays and I will continue to post her letters and my replies unedited. Not to try to expose her but rather as a point of discussion on how it works before we know the answer. Maybe we can format some special questions and predict replies? I think its a great tool and a wonderful experiment.

If, and I think that there is a very, very tiny chance of this, she turns out to be genuine then you can easily ask Dan or the mods to remove the thread to prevent further exposure to these private letters.

It is always a judgment call regarding the posting of information like this and usually it is better to err on the side of caution until you have all the facts. Perhaps a better way of doing this would be to post a specific line of text from the letter and ask about it rather than the whole letter during this uncertain phase.
