Proposed Russian Law to Exile Russian Women Who Married Foreign Men

I read this very disturbing article in MoscowTimes about a proposed Russian law to exile Russian women who are married to foreign men.  Does anyone know if the bill co-author Nikolai Kuryanovich is currently happily married to a Russian woman or if he is divorced from his Russian woman?  What do you guys know about him?

Nicolai thought that Russian women, who are married to foreign men, are wasting the most valuable thing they have, i.e., the gene pool of the Russian nation.  He also did not want Russian to bring foreign spouses to Russia. What a sick rational for drafting this bill? What is he thinking???  Fascism??? Hitler??? The third Reich???

Bill Exiles Those Who Wed Foreigners

Russians who marry foreigners could be exiled and stripped of their citizenship under a bill being drafted by a group of State Duma deputies, an LDPR deputy said Sunday.

Bill co-author Nikolai Kuryanovich, of the Liberal-Democratic Party, conceded that the Duma was unlikely to approve the measures but insisted they were necessary.

"Our women, the most beautiful and best in the world, are going abroad. By doing this, they are wasting the most valuable thing we have -- the gene pool of our nation," Kuryanovich told Ekho Moskvy radio.

While condemning women for going abroad, he also said he did not want people bringing foreign spouses to Russia.

Newlyweds would be forced to go and live in the country where their spouses were from to protect Russia from "an invasion of alien elements," he said.

Abortions are causing the biggest loss of population in Russia as well as Europe. Since abortion is considered a vital socialist right, I don't think the problem will be addressed in the FSU.

I didn't think any normal Russian person could take that guy seriously. Every country has their strange politicians!

I guess I could say that LDPR in Russia is similar to British National Party in the UK. The only difference is, with BNP its all sounds great until you get to the page 6 where they say that all immigrants should be either deported, or shot. LDPR is full of s*** from the page one. Few years ago then leader of LDPR Mr Girinovskyi thought it would be a very good idea to involve into his election campaign middle-aged Chicholina (Italian porn star)  I see that his successor is just as crazy as he was.

I wish Russian government would address more serious issues, such as stop Russian oligarchs robbing their own country of billions of dollars and bleed their countrymen dry so they can use their dirty money to buy huge mansions here in London and elsewhere.

As for the guy who drafted this bill, his wife probably left him because he couldn't get it up, and married some foreigner, so now the only thing left for him is to take his bitterness out on others and give people another reason not to take his party seriously .

LDPR is a very special political party, and very often Zhiriwovski behaves like a clown.  Very often LDPR uses such a smoke screen to switch attention from other more important issues.  There ain't a snowballs chance in hell of this ever being passed into law.

Like I said, this has a snowball's chance in hell of being passed into law. Best to disregard anything said by this political party, they have another agenda.  This is just a smoke screen.  Very soon they will introduce what they really want to accomplish while your eye is off the ball.

Those of us who know Russians understand the nature of this ploy.

We accept the idea of this law but it must be modified a lot.

I hope Russia does not tighten it's immigration policy, otherwise it will become like Japan. Japan has the tighest immigration laws with allowing virtually nobody in. In addition, the birth rate is only 1.3 per couple, and by 2100 the population will be half of what it is now, with over 50% of the population elderly. A reverse pyramid with the minority taking care of the retired majority. Talk about a country headed for collapse!
