When I read this I was going to reply but decided to read the rest of the replies first. Now I see I don't have to reply as KenC and I/O already got it covered (but of course I just can't shut up sometimes  ).

If I was ever in a real bind there are "maybe" a dozen people here who I would contact and count on for the real deal of advice. JB is one of those few individuals who I know I could count on to give it to me straight and factual. In times of need sugar coating is very distasteful.

if coming back to the original topic I was thinking that not only men are searching for large huge age gap, but there are such type of women who want to be guided and who are searching for an old man for many reasons , some  search a moral support, maybe the relations with fathers were not too good, some for financial support more than for anything, some simply like the mature level and the interesting talks about life, friendship:) which is acutally very possible among people of different age gap  category.  Speaking from my own experience I have several online friends who are like not in my age category but it is very amazing to chat and talk with them about some matters, though I feel the difference and some things which I could tell to the people of my age, I can not tell to the people who are older, I can not cross the border and do not want to cross it ever, always trying to be respective and treat them like my parents or like my older older sisters or brothers, but never lovers
