While I agree that miscommunication is a barrier even for those of us with women who have excellent English, I hope you're not suggesting FSURookie's experience was simply a language problem

Ok, now regarding my Bride.RU search;
Here you will see that there is MORE success in numbers;
1) I sent out about 55 total "Intro" letters with a photo of me a month ago.
2) So far I have received about 30 replies.
2) 5 of the replies were definite scammers.
3) About 5 were borderline possible scammers.
4) 15 letters were very interesting.
5) And 5 letters were very good (very sincere / genuine sounding)
6) I wrote the 5 that seemed sincere, and a good thing has developed with 1 of the 5 women, so I am focusing on her. To be honest, the girl that I am presently writing more seriously was not one of the initial choices that I thought would develop into something, so it goes to show you just never know!

Interesting stats - certainly mirrors my experience.  However, wonder why you are only visiting one (though I do realise you have a back-up plan).  Personally, if it were me I'd be thinking of visiting at least the five who seemed sincere, plus some of the others from the interesting category.

Your observation about 'never knowing' is spot on and as you haven't met, there is still the chance of a surprise - one way or another. At least, that's what I found.

Liked the post though - reminded me of my search and the way I did it plus decisions I made.  If it's of any consolation to you, it worked for me    Good Luck with your December visit.
