Hello Everyone
« on: September 06, 2007, 08:03:33 PM »
Just thought I would say hello.  Just joined so to speak, have viewed some of the postings on the forums in the past, trying to learn a little bit.  What can I tell you, took a trip to Kharkov this summer, will probably go back soon.  Anyway I enjoy reading what some of you have posted, I will probably not have much of anything to add to the discussions, but I thought I would join the community and discussion.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Sandro, Just letting you know, Kharkov I thought was great.  Had a wonderful time.

The reason for the nickname, tried to think of something.  Thought about it, I have been married once, well that didn't workout.  What can I say, you know you make your vows when you get married that you will be together forever.  That didn't happen.  Guess, I am saying that although my first marriage failed, am looking to try it again if I find the right person.

Hello Thor

I was in Kharkov the last week of July.  It was funny, because I met this sweet lady who was from the Ukraine, prior to boarding the plane in New York.  Anyway she asks me where I am going, so I say Kharkov like I would phonetically pronounce it based on its English spelling.  Car Cov, she goes where???  After I repeated myself about three times she says hharkiv, only it is tough to reproduce this effectively.  She says, well that is where I was from.  We both thought it was kind of funny that I did not even know how to say the name of the place I was going to.  :)

Hi again,

Where did you stay in Kharkov and did you meet many girls in Kharkov? I have been to Kharkov 12 or 13 times and I am married to a Kharkov girl :). I just love Kharkov and there are so many hot girls there. ;)

I stayed a few blocks from the central square.  Walked around most of the time I stayed there.  Took the subway once and also took a cab one time.  I did meet a few ladies while I was there, and I agree with you Thor, there are many beautiful women walking around Kharkov.  So you married someone from Kharkov, congratulations.  I take it then you would recommend others try their luck there?

Now THAT is an understatement if I've ever heard one!  :D

Steve,

If you read through Thor's threads he is probably the greatest promoter of Kharkov there has ever been.

Good luck in your adventures!
