Tour services to recommend? EM's tour - how is it?

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone here has used the tour service Elenasmodels offers, and if so, how was it?  Next time I go over, I am thinking of using a tour to setup all of the meetings, and take care of logistics, since on my last trip, I tried to handle everything myself and it was a disaster.  (I'd be glad to post the details on another thread so newbies can learn about what to avoid).  So does anyone recommend another tour guide/agency?  By the way, I am NOT talking about the romance tours on loveme.com or those things, they're way too expensive and I heard you mostly meet not serious professional daters on those things anyways.  I just am interested in a tour guide to sort out the logistics of a trip to see girls who I have already been corresponding with.

I would highly recommend making your own travel arrangements and apartment arrangements.

You can arrange meetings through an agency without paying the tour costs.
Something like $30 to $50 per meeting.

If you arrange your apartment, air fare, translator etc through the agency then you know they
are going to mark it up to cover the hassle of providing these services.
See commandment # 3 Work to eliminate any agency from your communications.

Thanks guys, I can arrange my own trip and accommodation, but is there any one who can help arrange meetings with the ladies, or if I have women in like 5 or 6 different cities to visit, is there someone who can handle an common meeting point?  What if she lives in some small town that is hard to get to or find accommodation on my own?  EM's tour service claims that they can arrange all of the meetings, and arrange additional meetings with new girls if you are disappointed with the girls you have met.  I was wondering if anyone here has used it.  Thanks

You are going to the zoo or to find your second half ? Tours are only a lost of time... Free for all buffet.
You will meet many women, your eyes will be happy but you will have nothing in the end...

There are so many free or low cost alternatives (ICQ, LL, russian dating sites) where you can contact directly women, if you really want to lose your money, why like this ?

Prepare a travel by yourself, discover the country and you will learn more than you will do with an agency, you will be able to understand better people you will meet... Everything else is circus.

The reality of it is that as many of us have used elena'd no one here ever tried the EM tour. You can get a lot of help nd advice here about travel. There are also guides such as Pavel or Sterlitz

I have no experience of tours so I may not know what I am talking about. However I think your expectations are a little unrealistic. You want to avoid the romance tours because they are too expensive. As it is the people who arrange the romance tours have established contacts and since they arrange the logistics for a large number of people their costs are likely to be lower. You are looking for an individual service tailored to your need and still want it to be cheap, that may not be possible.
For someone to take care of all your needs when you land in Kiev (or wherever) means a full time personal assistant and that can add up to quite a bit of money.
Maybe you can tell us your plans and we can arrange things for you. I certainly won't charge anything for this and you will know how much it will cost you before you board your plane (so no surprises like people get with guides)

If you can handle trip and accommodations, you can also handle a meeting point.
Any 'tour' will not take you to small towns, but let the women travel to you. If she has to travel less than a couple of hours by bus, any woman who wishes to meet you will not have a problem. Promise to reimburse her when she shows up and you have a sure thing.
Use a restaurant or open place near by a park as meeting point, anything where you can be early and see who is arriving from all directions.

I think it would be better for you to give a bit more information about where do you want to go. If you go to Vladivostok, then St Pete, then Kiev, Lviv and then Almaty, prepared to spend megabucks

After following that path I finally decided to choose two cities in Ukraine to meet some girls I was corresponding and using an agency to rent an apartment, put an ad on a local newspaper and meet several girls, speed dating type.

Fortunately I was lucky and found my GF (who was my best bet) and decided I didn't want to meet more women so I never went to the other city or used the agency!

And about Igor, I used him in the first trip and cannot say nothing bad against him...and yes I read the other forum, while he is an expensive guide.

Just my $.02. Some people will think the cost of a guide and the security of a guide far outweighs the expenses involved with doing it on their own.

Some people have taken some Russian classes but it is quite different when you are there and cannot read the street signs, people do not understand your language, you get ripped off by a cab driver or pay $500.00 for dinner for two. I found a great chinese restaurant in Kiev and spent about $12.50 for a decent dinner for myself. Some places will see you coming and charge extra. I noticed this at many of the tourist spots.

Just go to the local dating agencies in the cities you plan to visit.  Do some net research before you go.  Get the local address before you go so you will have them when you need them.

I found in my own personal journey to finding my wife that all of the writing and corresponding before I went to be a 100% waste of time.  I had 1 "speed date" with 1 person out of all the people I wrote to.  I knew once I met her that we weren't right for each other.  No amount of letters or phone calls can ever replace that first face to face meeting.  That being true, why waste your time if you discover that she isn't what you thought once you meet in person.

Secondly, if you aren't going to specifically meet someone you can go in with a fresh perspective that doesn't already have some preconceived bias built in... its easier to see what or what isn't going on.  You haven't made any kind of emotional investment (rule 1 never fall in love with a picture.)  Its much, much easier to pass on that pretty blond you are talking to but your gut is saying something is not right if you know that you have another meet and greet in 2 hours or tomorrow.  Its easier because the right girl might be the next one that you meet you haven't made any kind of attachment or emotional investment.


Letting any agency make your arrangements means you are on THERE time schedule.  Its a LOT more expensive as well.  The money issue isn't that big but I don't like handing control of where I go when over to anyone.  If you make your own arrangements then you have control over when and where you go.  If you meet some one you are really interested in early on you have the flexibility to alter your itinerary.  If you are on a tour, YOU DON'T.
