IMBRA WAIVERS- Pushing the envelope
« on: November 20, 2007, 07:40:33 AM »
A new day and a new set of facts to ponder.

FIRST- Subject has FIVE prior K1 filings- one withdrawn before decision, one withdrawn after interview and return of the file to the US for further action, THREE visas granted and used, TWO marriages and subsequent divorces.

SECOND- At 128 days into the process, CSC approves petition and waiver request without comment.

THIRD- Client was a real jerk. Too bad I can never rid myself of him. . . .

Holy cow Bill -- that's unreal!  What are my chances based on 3 total filings (all approved at USCIS), two stopped before interview in Kiev, one K1 issued (she came here and high-tailed it back to UA after 30 days -- hated it here).  She arrived here Jan '06 and I haven't applied for another one since.
K-1 Petition to CSC: NOA-1 8/21/08; NOA-2 2/5/09

Too bad it was pro bono.  I get the feeling this guy will do just fine.

pro bono is right. I cant pay myself- or charge myself.

Sideskraft- you will need to apply for a waiver for more than 2 lifetime but unless you have been convicted for a DV offense, you can get the waiver. Even if you have, you can still marry abroad and file an I130 petition.
