A couple of possibilities:
It could be a FAQ, Or, a series of checklists
Or, if "points" could be assigned to alternative answers to each question, a score sheet like the Scam Card ;).

0. Inept, Call your wife's uncle "Mya Padruga" after drinking vodka with him all evening and watch the women fall on the floor laughing at you. Igor will always be known now as my "girlfriend".

Reminds me of my rather poor attempt to ask my now-wife to marry me.  She didn't repsond when I asked her and changed the subject.  Obviously I was disappointed but after 24-hours brought the subject up again.  Evidently, I'd asked her to be my "woman" and she didn't quite like the connotations  :-[

Reading this yesterday also brought back those memories.

Croatia rose to the occasion in their crucial Euro 2008 defeat of England - after an apparent X-rated gaffe by an English opera singer at Wembley.  Tony Henry belted out a version of the Croat anthem before the 80,000 crowd, but made a blunder at the end.

He should have sung 'Mila kuda si planina' (which roughly means 'You know my dear how we love your mountains').  But he instead sang 'Mila kura si planina' which can be interpreted as 'My dear, my penis is a mountain'.  :D

I did also wonder about the original though and the reference to her mountains  ;D

first Hi to all

now because i dont whant to create other threads with my questions ill just be posting them here (if thats ok)

now since my last post i joined and agency and started corresponding with russian woman
i sent out about 50 letters presenting myself to them and i got the wierdest response and one i didnt expect

from the 50 letters i sent 42 of them were of rejection and it wasnt because of my looks (they did say i was handsome but odd, if that becomes a bigger issue ill talk about it)

but the problem was my age (and for some my job)

they said i was still a boy. or too young for them
im 28 years old and sent most of my letters to 22-28 year old's and got that same response also aperently they dont trust somebody thats in the wepons industry

the good responses that i got were from the 18-19 year olds(the other 8 letters)

but i dont think 18 and 19 year olds are ready for this type of comitment

but i dont know much about FSUW it could be that they are more mature than i think

but i just whanted to know what did you think about this and should i test the waters with a 18 or 19 year old ???

Hi keiking,

That looks really strange to me. 42 rejections out of 50 letters, and the woman of your age believe you are still too young for them? Very weird...How many letters expressly stated this reason? May be you are just not young by age but you merely LOOK somehow boyish and therefore seem not to be serious enough?

about 28 expressed this type of problem with my age

the other ones thought because of the job i have, i may have a violent personality
but some did express some odd questions about my looks (could the way i dress be a problem?)

Can I ask which agency are you using?

It is bit odd for women to give detailed reasons for rejection.

Be careful as the 18-19 year olds might be not be real either.

kelking,

Men have been advised about a million times to send only professionally done photos with their introduction letter.  Get a decent haircut, buy a suit if you don't have one, get a nice conservative necktie, then bite the bullet and pay a pro photographer to do a set of portraits,,, and don't send the one where you have a big happy stupid grin on your face.  Save the candid snapshots for later.  You wouldn't believe the number of men who get rejected because they thought a snapshot of them sitting bare chested on their Harley was cool.

If you post a copy of the photo you sent to these women here and you will receive an honest appraisal.

Why don't you post a copy of the photo you sent and post a copy of your letter with any identifying info deleted and let us see if we can help you figure out what is happening.

Most guys try to look in the 25 and older group.  With your age you might want to not rule out younger ones.   There are lots of 18 to 25 year old women who get married in Russia each year.

One of the reasons you may get a high response rate from the younger ones is a lot of guy avoid that age and there could be less competion.

Well you are getting emails where they are giving reasons for no interest, mostly it is just a message that this lady is not interested without a reason. Maybe they have to give reason if you send them an email and not a EOI?

Keiking,

At least the women are reading your letters.  50 letters is a hellofalot of letters.

I have no idea what a 20-yo RW would want.  For some reason they are considering the possibility of leaving their country to marry a stranger.  Why?  They are too young to sing "no good men in Russia".  If they are beautiful, and most are, there are plenty of RM with money who will give them attention.  There are also their schoolmates, not all of whom are bad.  So why are they looking to the West?

You are young, and keep in mind that most of these women have been receiving letters from older men.  These older men have more experience and are possibly writing better letters.

Whatever you job, you need to give it a better name and not write much about it.  For example, if you are "hitman" for the local mob, you could say you are in the security business.  Just explain how your job is secure with much potential for career advancement.

What is your level of education?  Educated RW place emphasis on education and prefer educated men with professional positions.

I think all here are interested in seeing you succeed and avoid some of the pitfalls.  I, too am surprised at the number of rejections to an initial letter.  There must be something that would be obvious to the experienced ones here that either clashes with the culture or mistranslates into something negative.  Still, I recall a 19 year old Ukrainian friend who tried to create her own profile, mistakenly listed herself as separated and implied that she was looking for a lover and got a ton of responses, so maybe there are ways to use this to your advantage.  :D

Post your profile and maybe your picture also (You can have it deleted later if you wish) and hopefully those here can offer constructive criticisms.

I would suggest eliminating the gunsmith school portion.  save it for later.  Maybe also the military experience.  Just list your degree.
Occupation: fire arms rapair/distribution industry, private security industry
This can maybe be interpreted as related to the Mafia or other similar enterprise.

Religion: none

Smoking No

Drinking No

I suggest avoiding the words obsessive and vain.  These can be viewed as very negative traits.  Why list personality cons at all?

Interests:listening to music, reading novels, practising martial arts, building motorcicles, watching cartoons and playing video games
Delete the portions about watching cartoons and video games.  They are not seen as mature things to do and if the age has been an issue, these make it worse.  A RW wants a mature man.

looking for:im looking for a familie oriented woman.
You need to add more here.  It sounds like you are looking for a mother for your children, not a companion

well i dont like putting my pic on the net but here is what i had on in the pics i sent out (and they were done professionally)

The dress in the photos are just fine, but the choices are strange.  Why would they want to see a picture of your shirt?  How about just one head shot and one nice body shot.  Also, delete the picture of your eye with the strange contact lens.  that one even scared me.

so any coments are apriciated

One final thing - use a spell checker.  Proper spelling and punctuation gives a better impression of your maturity and education and doesn't contradict your statement that you are obsessive.

Hope this helps

keiking, living in Japan doesn't help your case in finding a RW so you could naturally expect more rejection. Also, as Gator mentioned earlier, older men may do a better job of attraction ladies than you through their initial letters. You need to sharpen your communication skills or you will continue to attract only 18-19 yo women.

its chemical engineer and  Chemical engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with the application of physical science (e.g. chemistry and physics), with mathematics, to the process of converting raw materials or chemicals into more useful or valuable forms. As well as producing useful materials,

sorry for that typo, sometimes i confuse languages and use the wrong letters ( but i did use spell check when i sent out the letters, because i know i make a lot of typos and mis spellings)

and if i use "security specialist" wont they think im a security guard or something?

I have to agree with what the others have said.   I always did a letter format for the first letter rather than a profile format.   I think it would humanize you a little instead of portraying you as a bunch of statistics.

I would suggest trying to make it warmer and more romantic.   Talk about your self and what you hope to find with the woman you meet.

I think the eyeball photo should really wait until you have some rapport with the lady.

I think the Japan location is also a negative but you might want to concentrate of ladies from Vladivivstok.   Those ladies may look at is as a postitive and you could get there to meet them easily.

I agree with all the comments and won't repeat what they have already said.

Questions like that turn mature women off. You should know there are some places more desirable to live than others. Send the video games into retirement and start reading a newspaper everyday. Being knowledgable is very attractive to women.

Why the heck would you want a woman in another country when you are already living in a foreign country with many beautiful women???   The grass is always greener isn't it?  Vladivostock is close - but you are in Japan, got to get over those visa hurdles.  28 years old, fluent in Russian, hmmm........life experience, hmmm...............security industry but really an engineer hmmm...............

Japan is a nice modern country with lots to do.   I do think a lot of RW would not feel they would fit in as well there and make friends as easily.   Might not be true but I think the idea would be in their head.

Ladies from Vladivivstok might like it becasue it is close to home so they could visit easily.

Glad you didn't send the eyeball.   That one could probably show up in a few nightmares of the readers here.

Right now it seems like you have lots of time to write and the practice will do you good.  Sure write the 18 and 19 year olds.  There are some serious ones who want to settle down and the age difference is not that great.
