Need help on this translation
« on: December 18, 2007, 02:26:13 PM »
Hi I need some help identifying this translation of words I took from various sentences.  I need to know is this translation done by online translator software or by manually looking up words from a Russian-English dictionary?
Here are the words below.

Quote
pomosh'yu translator,   Что,    rozgovarivaesh on russki,  Мы,   Настроение khoroshoe,  pushistiy,  prgotoveli

I suspect some may not have carried over from the Cyrillic so if any Russian/FSU women here can tell me what word they think the sound means I'd really appreciate it.   Thanks!

PS: this person's Russian is terrible.(khoroshoe, prgotoveli)

Hello again.  I have some more Russian thats muddling the translation a bit.  Its a little tricky since online translators wont work on English coversions from Cyrillic.  But I have a pretty good guess as to their meaning so heres my thoughts.  Tell me if I'm wrong please.

Vpervuyu - I just

otkrydku - card

preznadtsa - present

uslyshemsya - converse

I tried my best to understand those quasi russian words on the left. here is what I think:

Vpervuyu might be [ vpervYe] - for the first time
Otkrytka = postcard
Preznadtsa [priznAtsa] looks like quite a rare, probably poetic version for ' apparently'
Uslyshemsya - sorry my best guesses would not help me with this  :(  But 'converse' would be 'obshchatsa' in Russian.
Da, da, Canada; Nyet, nyet, Soviet!

Thanks Lily.  That is quite funny actually.  Its been interesting finding out the clarity of the sentences.  Whatever is being used as translation has some very interesting techniques.  :)

preznadtsa - present

uslyshemsya - converse

The first one i guess is like in Lily's version - priznat'sya - but the translation is "confess"
The second - "we'll hear from each other" (uslyshimsya")  it's often used in chat conversations as far as i'm concerned.

Thank you Zmejka.  This is feeling like a riddle but the thrill is entertaining.  I am learning more Russian everyday  :)
Here is some more that I'll make an educated guess form the context.

will be ekonomistom  (I will be an economist)

second obrozovanie want legal (Or second I will be a lawyer)

an etot account large plans (I have big plans for the future)

Izvenite is forced to hurry (I have to write this quickly)

What kind of online software translator can turn Russian into an English consonant sounding Cyrillic derivative  ???

chernoble,

I think you are wasting your time with this, go find yourself a nice girl/woman who has some English skills who maybe doesn't look so hot.  Right now you are just confusing the already confused.  Translation software is NOT the way to go.   Too many chances for miscommunication.
