Hello everyone,
My name is Angelo.  I'm 34 & live in Los Angeles.  What brought me to this site is that I have been communicating by email with a RW for the past month (started Nov 23).  I googled "experience with RW" & this site came up.  Some background info...Tatyana had initially contacted me thru colombiancupid.com  Her profile stated that she was Australian and that she lived in Virginia.  I stated that she email me to my yahoo email.  Below is one of her initial emails.

Hello Angelo.
Today  wonderful day, I am very glad to receive your letter. I wish to
tell  as  my  day  begins. I wake up in 6 mornings, I drink tea then I
begin  morning  run which 30 minutes after that I come home last and I
start  to  have  breakfast.  To  8  mornings  I  go  for  work  to   a
kindergarten.  Near  to children I feel always myself joyful and happy
as children it is our pleasure and our future.


Thanks  for  your photo, very much are pleasant to me your photo, your
fine look, your eyes they very beautiful.

I  tried  comes  on  a  site from Russia, but me did not start up from
Russia on a site and I have decided to come on a site from USA.

As I wish to tell about the family. I live in the great country Russia
in  a  city Savino at us not the big military station, in our
city  there  live  nearby  50000  persons. Our city is surrounded with
woods and lakes and as in ours there is a small river. I live with mum
and  the  daddy.  My  mum  call Anna, and my daddy call German. My mum
works  as  the  children's  doctor,  it  treats children. My daddy the
military  man  it  works  in a military part in our city, and for it a
rank  the Colonel. In our family there is a dog on nickname Muhtar. We
live  in  two  room  apartment,  in five floor house.Angelo And in what
house you live?

My  hobby  it  to collect mushrooms and berries in the summer as to do
herbariums.  A  herbarium-it  dry  leaves and flowers and from them do
bouquets.  The  truth  remarkably?  I  as like to watch on TV serials,
comedies and detectives. Angelo And what films you like to look?

Anyhow, our emails run the gamut from everyday life to religion.  She has attached a pic to every email she has sent.  Obviously, our emails progressed to relationships, love, and family.  I suggested that she should visit me over here in the US.  She then stated that she contacted her local travel agency and that they could start the process of making the travel arrangements.  Yesterday, she emails me that she had signed a contract with the travel agency in order to start the process.  She stated that the total cost is 1250 euros and that she paid 500 euros already.  She asked me if I could send her the 750 in order to cover the balance.  Obviously, I'm not going to send her the money.  I can just tell her to continue working & save up for the trip.  Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.  Below is 1 of her recent emails and some the pics she has emailed.

struggle or in football . You not against?

As  I went today to embassy and which I
have  for  today  that  in  embassy  knew,  that  I  Meal to you to my
favourite  person  as  I  filled today Which they gave documents to me
about  visa  reception  in  your  country.  They  Have  told that will
consider  my request for the visa and to inform me, To allow to arrive
they to me to you or not. I as went today in Agency, also has told it,
that  I  went  to  embassy,  and  in  agency Have told, that they will
contact  embassy, and to speak to them, That I have addressed in their
agency and that as soon as possible they have resolved To me to arrive
to  you  and gave the visa. So I think, a problem with The visa solves
also I can arrive to you my dear.

My  dear Angelo I hope you is glad as well as I, that is fast we We can
be  together?  I with impatience wait for your letter. Kiss you Angelo.

She sounds sincere in her emails, but I'm not naive to relationships and such.  She asked me for my phone # 2 weeks ago so that she could call me from an "automatic telephone machine" (I'm guessing payphone)  since she didn't have a home phone, nor cell.  To my surprise, she called me on my cell last week and we spoke for 10 minutes.  BTW, I had asked her for her full name & address in previous emails, but she did not provide it.  Thanks in advance for advice/suggestions.

Yes, this is a scam.  Loves you too quickly, talks about having your children without meeting, having a relationship..  she's not going to get a Visa to visit you.. doesn't have any way for YOU to contact HER via phone..

A relationship with an FSU woman isn't much different from any other relationship except for the travel involved (you will have to go meet them in their own country, or in a country where she can get a Visa).  You're not going to be able to send a few hundred bucks and have one arrive at your door.

Like the previous two posters, I am 100% sure this is a scam.

Welcome to RWD, hopefully you realize that a woman claiming to be a cute Australian living in Virginia contacting you on a
Columbian Cupid site and then telling you she is living in Russia has more problems with her story then a Fiat X-19 with
500K miles on it after a demolition derby race.

I would recommend reading the ten commandments, the FAQs and reading, reading and then reading some more.

There has been an attempt to scam you and it appears you didn't fall for it. Congratulations!! pretty photos have done
in a lot of others. Educate yourself a little here. I would also look for RW on Russian sites and not Columbian sites.

I agree this is scam, talks about loving you and wanting to have kids as Daveman pointed out so quickly that is just unbelievable
plus her english sucks it is hard to understand what she means , how can she love you if she never spoken to you on the phone never seen you in reality , she must be all in dreams , young girl who thinks that WM are really that naive and  crazy and cos she sent some cute photos he will fall for her and give her all his money and forget everything? I hope those times are gone and guys are really smart about it and wont believe only huge boobs or a cute smile, you gotta see the soul

Like the others, I can guarantee 100% that this is a scam.  Having a Russian wife and having lived in Ukraine, I can guarantee that no Russian woman will write letters like these and no decent RW would ask for money in such a way.  Add to this the fact that it is basically impossible for a single RW in her situation to get a US tourist visa and you know that anything that she has claimed the "travel agency" or the embassy have said regarding this is a lie.

Also, though some might, I have never met a woman her age in the FSU who did not have a cell phone or at least someone who has one where you could arrange a time to call her.  A woman there would rather go without food than a cell phone.

The fact that she refuses to provide a full name and address seals it.  If she truly has such strong feelings for you as she claims, she would provide these in an instant on your request.

Forget about the woman who called you.  Most likely she was paid to do so and provides this service for the agency on a regular basis to many men.

The bottom is, don't hold your hopes up.  This woman doesn't exist and the perpetrator's sole interest in you is how best extract the most money the quickest and then disappear.

Angelo, I'm sure your email address will continue to be spammed by the scammers since they send out thousands of emails.

If this episode is an indication, the scamming businesss is changing.  Only average looking girls are now participating.   I suppose the "8",  "9" and "10" dyevs are receiving plenty of money from Russian men.  No need to waste time trying to get a meager $750 from distant Americans.
