The meaning of a woman
« on: July 17, 2005, 01:54:00 AM »
I talked with my girlfriend Tanya about marriages in general and having children/not having children in marriage/not in marriage.

She thinks that people marry to have children. This made me think that perhaps most of the women, who search for a foreign man, are doing this to have children. OK, no big surprise to anyone, or is it? I have thought for a long time that this is the reason they are doing it.

I told her about one woman I know. She has not been married and she has no children. Now she is too old for having children. Tanya thought that this woman's life has had no meaning and she is not happy. I am not that black and white about this. She looks to be happy every time I see her. What about her meaning? She was my teacher about 35 years ago.

Tanya thinks that the meaning of a woman is to have children.

I think the vast majority of women around the world have this need to have children...maybe it is inborn.  But I do know that 100% of the girls I have met in FSU that do not have children want children...
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.  michelangelo

I know my fiancee takes it very seriously.  Even though she has a 10 yo daughter, she absolutely wants to have more kids with me.  Its coming across as virtually a bonding requirement - she won't feel its OUR home unless there are OUR kids in it.

I agree that the majority of women do want to have children It seems that is really  in female's genes

But I would not say that woman who search for foreign man are doing this to have children, because to have children is not a problem for them at all here( if they want and have no problems with health of course) There is no need to go such far for those who really want only children. And there are enough women here who give birth children not taking into account any problems

As for those who look for foreign men then may be to have a husband who would be able to support her and her children and provide a good life style for them is more correct wording of their reasons
