I got this one yesterday, from someone I never wrote to, at least that I'm aware of, probably some scammer I heard from before, so I thought I'd share it here for a laugh, as I'm not replying.

I graduated from it only with excellent marks and continued to study at the Medical University. Then i stayed to live in Nizhni-Novgorod. Now i work as a dentist in a small polyclinic for about 3 years.

 I use computer at work because i don't have it at home. At work i can use it free . That's why it's better for me to wright
from clinic. But it doesn't depend on me, another person also must work at the computer. I have good relationship with her but she let me to use the computer only when she is not busy with it. Otherwise i can visit Internet-cafe and send you letters from there.
My new friend. please answer theese questions: 1. Do you like your job? 2. Whats your favorit film? 3. What music do you like? 4. Have you ever had a foreign friend? I'm thankful for your answers. You may not answer if you don't want. But in my next letter

It was a netzero email address, which makes me think of the ex gf AW, as she uses net zero, but today I had to laugh, as I got her second email as follows

Since I am not a "financist", should I invest "5.25 credit(s) to open a letter" ?

That is precisely what's going on! And if anyone is naive enough to respond to a letter from a "beautiful Russian girl" he should be warned that his letter would not even be read. most likely he will just be getting a standart letter #2, then #3 and so on. They will just paste in you name in a few spots and hopefully don't miss a sdpot and leave another guy's name there by accident. I spent exactly 2 days on a couple of agency sites when I realised how the scam worked. After I got a letter from a girl I responded in Russian, telling her that she didn't need to write in English, that I was from Russia originally, etc. etc. Then I would get leters#2, #3 still in broken English, and it was obvious that whoever was on the other end didn't bother to read my messages. The second day of my search I decided to have some fun and just cursed those "girls" out in Russian and told them where they can go and what they can do with themselves. And I got back something like "Oh my darling, I'm so happy that you wrote to me once again, I was hurrying to get to work so I could check my email and when I saw you letter the grey sky became suddenly blue and the sun came out from beneath the clouds!!!" That was the end of my search through agencies.
I was also advertising on Match.com and Yahoo personals hoping to find someone local. And offcourse I was getting messages from "Russian girls" there as well. But as soon as I answered them in Russian they would dissapear.
I think that it's worth noting that traditionally it is not culturally acceptable in Russia for a woman to make the first move. And even though there is an exception to every rule, and also women became a bit more aggressive because of the shortage of available men, still it is unrealistic to think that an average looking man will get sooooooo many letters from beautiful, young girls. If a man is VERY handsome he might get 2 or 3 girls write a little flirtatious note in a month or two! And the note is going to sound something like "a ti ochen' dazhe nichego!" "not bad at all!" or just say "Privet :-)"
 None of those long detailed letters that scammers send out.

I think that on many occasions scammers will not use their own photos. They steal photos of girls advertising on free Russian dating sites. So if you post photos that were sent to you by a scammer on some anti-scam sites, it can be of a totally innocent girl that has nothing to do with a scam.
I also heard from my clients that many scammers will send you a passport scan with their photo. That's a huge red flag IMO!
No normal woman who is for real will even think about doing that and if you ask her to do that she most likely won't even talk to you after that.
And that passport photo still might be of somebody else if she knows how to use Photoshop - and many of them do...

Fully agree. If a woman ever sends you a 'scan' of their passport or visa, I will be happy to analyze it and point out the inconsistencies. 99,99% it will be Photoshopped.
Regarding sources of pictures, MySpace and sites for amateur models to show their portfolio are a goldmine to find picture of attractive young women. For scam pictures the women do not even need to be Russian, whoever falls for the letters will probably not notice the difference anyway....

It is always wonderful in Florida, and spring is the best.  I am suffering from a herniated disc in my lower back, resting it to avoid surgery (fingers crossed). This weather pulls me outside for strolls.  However, wish I was chasing a little white ball.   Replacing golf with RWD is not the same.

just the fact that she sent it to you to "prove' that she is for real tells me that she is a scam artist. Normal women just don't do that, they will tell you to get lost and won't talk to you again if you ask for it...

Just as an FYI. I personally know this woman. Met her in SPB. We have some "history".  This was not sent to me to prove she was a real person. But I know she has sent this same passport to several other men. My point was that she is a scammer and had no problems sending me her real photo. I assumed the passport itself is authentic but I am not an expert in this area. I was just curious to get Shadows feedback.
