Traveling for Russian and Ukraine Citizens. Where can they go?
« on: January 23, 2008, 06:33:57 PM »
My other half is from Ukraine and I have been working on our honeymoon. However this has not been an easy ordeal since many places we would like to go she will need to apply for a visa and we know how that goes.

I have searched the internet with no luck so thought I would start a thread not only for myself but for others to know where we can take our special ladies on a nice vacation without the visa headaches.

Would like to hear any places Russian and Ukraine citizens can go on vacation without a visa.

Right now Jamaica is on top of our list that we can both go to.

This site is a good source of info of the type your seeking but I just tried it and it's not working for me at the moment.

Googled another site. This one does work.

Kho Samui, Thailand is a place my rich Russian relatives talk about a lot lately.  They say Phuket is too crowded with Chinese tourists.

Are you talking about to and from Ukraine?  Or to and from the US?  My wife and I went on a Carribean cruise with her Advance Parole, no visas required.  Cozumel, Labadee, Jamaica, Grand Cayman (considered simply a transit on the cruise ship).

VWRW and I were in Phuket just about 11 months ago.  It was not croweded and I did not notice many Chinese but they could have blended in with the locals I guess.  Popular places for Russians are Egypt, Thailand, Turkey, Domician Rep. Barbados, Grenada, Jamica, and Costa Rica.

Raven,
Lena loves to go to Crimea which is a beautiful part of Ukraine and where alot of Ukrainians and Russians go for their summer vacation.  WHat time of year are you planning for your honeymoon? Might make a lot of difference as to where you want to go.

I have forgotten Bulgaria... you need visa but you can get it without difficulties (my ex girlfriend get it despite she has no work). You have many nice sea resorts and pricing are good.

She may be able to travel to Cuba, but you cannot legally with few exceptions.  Some Americans fly to Canada then fly to Havana but if the US immigration service sees you were in Cuba, they can give you so legal problems and heavy fines.  You also have a problem with connecting cities in some cases.  The UK is pretty good about giving transit visas for no cost as long as you have an ongoing ticket and are able to enter the next country.
Barbados is connectable thru London as is Antigua and Barbuda..these Caribbean islands and others don't require a visa for Ukrainians.
