HARD Questions for BIG Agencies
« on: January 30, 2008, 12:33:51 PM »
I was thinking about something - and wondered if you all would like me to pursue this idea.

I have business contact with most, or all, of the largest agencies in the business of international introductions - such companies as A Foreign Affair and Elena's Models - just to name two.

Recently, I prepared a 'backoffice' report to address their business dealings in terms of the experiences we have had with them.

Today, as I was reviewing the Harper's article I just posted about an AFA tour to Ukraine, I had several questions which came to mind that I'd like to ask John Adams (or Bud - or one of the owners). For example, I am curious if the guys who ran that tour to Ukraine are still in the employ of AFA. I would like to know John's opinions about the Harper article in general, and some of the selected quotations in the article in particular.

So here is my question to RWD members:

Would you like me to contact the owners/managers of some of these very large agencies, and ask them to address a series of written questions which we here at RWD will pose to them?

They may decline - and if they do, I will report that here - but I think some, at least, will gladly accept an invitation to address some of the issues floating around about them and their business practices, etc.

The BIG agencies that I can contact and invite would include:

* A Foreign Affair
* Elena's Models
* European Connections - although Preston is pretty slow about responding, and my guess is he would be disinclined to participate.
* Cherry Blossoms - although their focus is more on Asia than FSU

So I think I might be able to get John Adams with AFA to respond - maybe Elena or her husband John to respond - and probably someone from Cherry Blossoms.

I can ask the others biggies - EC, Angelika, and Anastasia - but I expect they will decline to participate.

So what do you think?

If you like the idea - then please contribute some of YOUR questions to the list.

Originally, I was thinking of doing this in a live chat - but then decided it will probably be more acceptable to the owners if we prepare a fixed set of written questions, and they reply in writing to those questions. Kind of like a reporter.

Let me know....

Don't loose your time... they will reply in a way who show a ethical business... if they make wrong thing, they will hide it... if a question become a problem, they will reply by something not asked... they are business man, not very different that politician... they will say what we wish ear... but the truth will be hidden when needed...
