Anyone hear or tried this one?
« on: February 06, 2008, 04:50:08 PM »
Sometime ago, I had placed my profile for free on this website www.toplop.com has anyone tried or usede this site?  It looks like a similiar layout to A web, with the pictures of the ladies and you purchase credit to read and send letters.  Just curious.
Feel free to pm me, if have any advice, questions, or anything else.

I have my profile there since October last, and have received so far 25 letters from women aged 32-53 (average: 43), which is a good indicator. However, almost half of them chose to disregard my requirement of "no dependant children" (one writer has no less than 4 :o).

Phantom,

152 emails is even more than the stud muffin Sandro.  Be careful.

Critical is whether you can wean yourself quickly from letter writing and advance to telephone calling (and calling at reasonable rates).  You need to study the terms of service to determine if this is possible.

Personally, I prefer using sites which provide the date of the woman's listing with the agency and the date of her most recent activity.  That way you would know if you are writing overshown window dressing or new, active blood.

Too many women have high age limits, suggesting that the agency rather than the women may have established the limits.

IIRC you have used several sites.  Best IMO to focus on just a couple.

I only use cindy and maksim for the letter writing.  Other sites I sometimes just post my profile on, just to see and to be curious.  I always get letters from the fresh faces at cindy.  I've got down to six women from 28, so I'm doing better than I was at the beginning.  Spent most of my free time writing.  I've gotten into calling, and one in particular, we share a lot of phone time and letter writing with each other, more than the rest of them.  I got a calling card I keep loaded up.  For $10 I can get three hours to Russia.  I don't know if that's good or bad.

Good, dependent upon connectivity.  Some cards require several redials to connect and then the voice is not clear.

I use jajah. Excellent connectivity.  3.6 cents/min to Russia, 11 to Ukraine.

http://www.jajah.com/info/rates/

The only thing I don't like is the automatic disconnect at one hour duration.

The connectivity is pretty good and the calls are clear.  I got the card, after thinking my cell phone was a little cheaper then the land line, with the rates of .15-.20 cents a minute, until I got the bill for four  calls to the lady.  But, I think I'll try jejah to, to see which one I like better.  But, that automatic disconnect don't sound to good.

I get disconnected at exactly 33 minutes every time I call to Ukraine through any means.. I think the disconnect might be coming from Russian phone systems rather than from jahjah..   I'll check that one out too.. that's 4 cents less than my Ukraine plan with Cingular/AT&T

Daveman,
what plan have you got with AT&T/Cingular?  I have them, and my bill is pretty high when I call there.  BTW, I get disconnected in Ukraine often, sometimes 10-15 minutes and sometimes, try for 5 minutes to connect, when I call there.
Feel free to pm me, if have any advice, questions, or anything else.

Phantom,
I can't remember the exact name of the plan, because I signed up for it a couple of years ago when it was Cingular... but ask them about the int'l plan to Ukraine (and it is only for Ukraine, if the situation is the same, you have to sign up for another, second plan to get similar for Russia.. but Russia calls are far cheaper by other carriers, Ukraine is lagging behind in the pricing policies).. it costs $4.95 per month (or maybe $2.95? I'll have to find a bill) for the plan, then a straight .15 per minute... without the plan it's like .28 or .31 cents per minute (guessing, I just can't remember)

Daveman,

Thanks for letting me know.  I'll call them and find out, plus keep using the card.  I call Russia more than Ukraine at the moment, so it might be a good option.

Someone here before recommended Speedypin.com for calling to Ukraine and after a lot of research it seems to be the best.  My wife uses it from her cell phone with no connectivity problems or disconnects and the price is around 11-12 cents a minute.  We were paying 17 cents a minute before with yahoo messenger so it's a nice savings.

I see verizon now has lowered their rate to call Ukraine if you add the $3.99 monthly International Service. It costs $0.31 a minute to call a mobile. Still way too high for my taste, but moving in the right direction. With Ukraine entering the WTO and opening the doors to more International businesses, I wonder if the costs will drop even more?

We just added the verizon plan so N. could call direct to Odessa. Usually she uses Pingo http://www.pingo.com
rates are either .09 or .13 per minute.
