"trustworthy" site.
« on: February 16, 2008, 05:37:52 PM »
www.yeva4u.net

Not a place to go. I ve got some inside information recently. This site is a both way scam. It lies to ladies that register there. They never recieve any of your letters, unless you are lucky and interpreter personally knows the girl. ( yes all letters go through interpreters). You pay for letters - you pay for nothing in 90% of cases. Dont send any gifts through this site. They rarely get really delivered, and aadministration always have a bad agent to blame. If you still get interested in a girl, insist on a phone call and demand her personal email and phone number. You may be refused a call. But, if a miracle happens and you get to talk to a girl, make sure to look up how to ask for her phone number in russian, because your question might not be translated and you  may be told that the girl refused to give you her contact details.
Good luck in your search, guys.

Thanks for the post. One of the great services of RWD is for legitimate complaints to be made about agencies or individual scammers. At the same time, because this is your very first post and we do not know you, there are a few questions that may help us to determine YOUR veracity.

First - do YOU have any first-hand experience with this agency? What, exactly, are YOUR experiences that lead you to conclude this company is a "scam"? If you are merely spreading rumors, that does NOT constitute a "scam."

Next - where are you located? The reason I ask is you indicated "usa" when you registered (today), but your IP resolves to a St. Petersburg, Russia ISP. That inconsistency needs to be explained.

I look forward to learning your answers.

Ok lets start off with a tearing off a mask ( just  need to  make sure it  won't come out with a head) :cluebat:
Experience  with the site - firsthand.(/worked there for a week as interpreter, have my  own profile being used by a site without my permission alongside with several profiles of friends of mine who found this to be a good idea to register there and were used by the site after I quit. I found this out a year later -ssdd)
Gender - female.
Location - St.Petersburg.
Why didnt state this right away? Didnt want to get  personal -  just  wanted to give info.
But as long as we allready have got quite personal ;D
Here is some more.
I saw their ad a year ago. They needed interpreters and advertised it as normal honest work. First day  I appeared there - they gave me 20 - 25 profiles ( pictures of girls with minimum information about them) and requested to write introduction letters to each of them. Letters had to be sent to each member of the site.( now paying members understand why so much interest to their personas). When I tried to contact  the girls - none of them answered. 4 of my friends asked to register them on a site - which I  did. And then a shit  did hit a fan. One of the girls whom I  personaly  knew got involved into a correspondence with a guy. They liked each other, and being a gentleman he sent her some flowers and english lessons sertificate.when I called the administration of the site to request the delivery of her gifts the answer was :" Why the fuck did you tell her about the gifts. We dont give em out. Get rid of a guy. Write him she found someone else" That  was the point  of me politely asking them to "go fuck themselves sideways" but the story didnt finish on that. He requested a phone call. She insisted on my  presence during the conversation ( which took place at her apt.) because felt  very  nervous about talking to someone whose language she didn't know. Now the best  part - their interpreter appeared to have a wonderfull manner of translation. If I was a guy I wouldnt want to continue communication. I explained the girl how to  give her personal email address and phone number. Good news now she is happily married, to that very guy.

about a month ago I saw their advertisement again. I applied for work again - now out of curiousity. The scheme didnt change but this time they didnt even request personal presence for the interview. Just  sent 20 profiles via email and requested to write letters for them.

Just think is mean to play with human feelings for money.
Thats why info.

Dont get scammed and try to find you real lady.

Regards.
Me.

Serious, if you do a Forum search for YEVA4U, you'll find plenty of references to that scam agency, including http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?topic=1528.msg85255#msg85255.

Your 'inside' information confirms what many of us have been long suspecting about their practices. One that they appear to have stopped, though, is having their staff invite logged-on male users to chats.

A couple of years ago I wrote to a number of SPB newspapers, asking them if they could be interested in hearing a story about a fraudolent dating agency, but received no answer whatsoever. Do you know their Victoria ?

I believe there are  hundreds of  Viktorias there. But tell me  its  not a tall dark  haired model looking girl... If it  is - then its the latest steal. Because when I  applied  second  time - I registered three of  my other friends -  cause they  want to get  married and I  needed it  as a pass -  to show up  as an unsespecting  idiot. All 3 profiles were promptly stolen and  now as I  suspect  are  used for  falce correspondence. Which are Viktoria - tall, dark haired model, Inga -  a  blond with two kids and Lilia - nice  lady  with 14 years old daughter. If their  profiles  are used  on yeva 4 u - know - they are being written for by someone who doesnt even know them. I  also  helped them register on www.merrydating.com ( where btw I  found a picture of a russian movie star taken 10 years ago, climbing to be a poor marriage oriented girl from /belarus. I wrote to the site support about that scam - but no reaction), and on www.russianeuro.com- this one seems the  most real, and has chat. PS: Yeva4u  been using a profile  of Elena  for  over a year  ( the girl's been living with a man for  more then  9 months by now), also there is  my  profile being  used in same ugly  way - so  I  can even  imagine  what am  "I" writing to poor guys:(.

As for  Russian newspapers - they dont give a shit about  anything. Dont  bother.
Is  funny  because I  actually was planning  on  making a deep research on this theme  for american audience. We should collaborate:)

Sorry, my query was not clear enough, I meant the Victoria who is part of their staff and something of a deputy boss in their SPB office.

Probably because you're not yet familiar with this site ;). If you want to PM a member, look under the avatar at left and click on the balloon-like icon under it.

They let visitors search free, and promise that paying members will see the girls' e-mail addresses too. Is this just a plain lie ?

SOP for most dating sites, it's their 'lure' ;).

There are no 'paying members' per se, you can only buy credits/tokens that will allow you to read letters in your inbox (I got 38 today and yesterday, 49 the day before :o) and reply to them.

Your replies are censored for direct-communications information, and the copy you see in your outbox is NOT the censored copy eventually sent out.

I never saw an email address anywhere there, neither any option offered to acquire them, one of their probable reasons being that they are not averse to 'borrowing' profiles and photos from elsewhere ;).

YEVA4U is one of the most fraudolent agencies I've ever come across. VERY occasionally I have read/replied to an interesting and apparently genuine letter, asking for direct correspondence by offering a hint on how to reach my personal website (Googling for my full name that I include as signature): I NEVER received an answer outside of YEVA4U, ad if I got one through them, it usually sad something like "I prefer corresponding through here". Not really surprising, since most if not all correspondence is carried out by their staff/helpers, as you can gauge from Serious's previous posts.

I'd strongly suggest to steer well clear of them.

I confirm everything Serious has said. I've been a "translator" at that agency for a week now, and I'm beginning to understand what it is. I have a login and a password, and several ladies' profiles are "mine". I wrote to all of them, only one girl replied. She asked to delete her profile. I wrote that to the admin - no answer, and the profile has not been removed.

The directions I received are quite strange. I must congratulate all the men on the site whose birthday it is today, every day, on behalf of every of "my" girls. I must send no less than 20 letters daily, on behalf of "my" girls. And I must send the so-called "first letters" (something like "Hi! I saw your profile and I like you! Tell me more about you!... I'm bla bla bla... I'm looking for bla bla bla...") to scores of men, at random, every day (this function is half-automatic, so it's quite easy).

I must say, by the way, that I of course DON'T do that.

Here's a very interesting link, by the way:
