Analyzing Posts.
« on: April 01, 2008, 04:20:55 PM »
I wanted to post this for the new people to see as well as other members who may get frustrated at times by the posts here.

I will admit I was one who would get upset when you would make a simple post and others analyzed it.

I learned a valuable lesson today that I want to share with others and to let others know when others Analise your simple post it is done in respect to help you.

I recently returned from Odessa in which I was to be married during  the trip. Due to weather and other situations we decided to get married on a beach in Jamaica in the bright sunshine (chose Jamaica because she would not need visa)

So while in Odessa we planned the wedding in Jamaica. We bought one of Sandals wedding/honeymoon packages. We ordered all airfare and were ready for our trip. Both of us were very excited to be going to Jamaica and could not wait for the time to come when we could leave.

For some reason I decided to post about our wedding plans here. Why I do not know and could not answer.

I did this not to hear others Analise it. It was a simple post and the last thing I wanted was others to Analise my choices and our relationship.

Making that announcement is one of the smartest things I could have done. My post was analyzed (like I was hoping it was not) and it was the best thing that could have happened to me.

Others analyzed the fact that my girl would need a transit visa to come to USA even if just changing planes. We did not know this and we did ask when ordering trip and airfare if any visa was needed to only be told "NO".

If I did not make my post and others did not Analise it I would not be getting married April 18th. My girl would have been deported and had a deported stamp in her passport making any future visa's almost impossible to get, not to mention she could also have been arrested with a fine up to $3000. I would have been out the $8000 I spent on the trip. We would have been 2 people in a very bad situation.

Those who took the time to Analise what I wrote closely just saved us and our wedding. They pointed this out to us which gave us the time to fix the problem and get her new airfare to travel in a way she will be safe.
I owe these people big and from now on PLEASE Analise anything I write here.

TO others who complain of this. Trust me. They are doing so for your own good and I would read what they say and take it to hart.
I will now humble myself to apologize to all those that I felt before got involved too much. I owe you big time.

Some analisys can be rectified with a spell check  ;D

Ravens makes a good point.  His experience is especially dramatic, but listening to the people here can save time, money, and effort.  There is a ton of useful information and a lot of very helpful people :clapping:  I am still amazed when I see people o refuse to consider the advice of the Old Guard.  Sometimes I feel like I should pay for what I'm learning (shhh, don't tell Dan!)

Glad it worked out for you, Ravens!

RWD ... expert practioners of proctology. :D

Some RWD people will overstep boundaries and a few may give wrong advice.  Just ignore them, yet remember in every thread there is usually a real nugget or two.

Ravens, you should feel proud of the way you handled this.  Some men would have been in a state of denial.  Others would have stopped upon hearing what they wanted to hear.  You, however, confirmed and verified the facts that affected your plans.

Ravens,

A post like yours makes all the dealing with the ID10Ts who argue and discount anything they don't want to hear worth it to be here. I didn't have anything to add to your thread but all the same Thank You!

Myrddin,

Send your payment to me and I'll "hold it" for Dan okay?  8)

Analised

I've been told before that I'm an @sshole when I thought I wasn't being one...
So no, the transition obviously does not hurt.

OTOH (of my proctologist), I often do feel Analised and it does sometimes hurt.

No problem, Ken, check's in the mail.  Right behind the visa money for that very nice supermodel PhD student who fell in love with me in 3 e-mails  :hairraising:

What?  It could happen!  ;D
