Walking from the Druzba hotel to the center this past spring I came upon a familiar site in the center of the sidewalk.

Ok, here is a more familiar, traditional, Lugansk photo.

Jack,

Thank you!  I do apprecitate your efforts to enlighten our senses of the arts, history and traditions of Ukraine.

The transparency which you post trivial "agency" hype is reminence of the subliminal messages "smoking doesn't kill"...

I know... I know... promised not to mention it.. but what the heck..

calling all mods.. calling all mods... :D:D

BC, I'm sorry my post's bother you. And I really didn't think your promise would hold more thana week. Think I was right.

A trip report is to a degree made up of photos. I am sorry my photos upset you

Jack,

Well let's put this into perspective then.  Pull those photos of "hot" women off and replace them with something representative of Lugansk.  I saw those pictures as hype to get men interested in traveling to Lugansk so they could meet "hot" women, like those pictured.

There is much more to Ukraine/Russia than women in short-short skirts...

Jon, the thread that I started was about Lugansk. I really wish that the photos anyone else would have posted could have related to Lugansk, but noooo, I guess not.

I am happy with the photos I have posted. If you are offended I am sorry, I do not plan to pull the photos down. I like the photos and could care less as to how you perceive them. I just wish you would quit messing up threads and taking them in different directions.

Jack,

It has nothing to do with my sensibilities.  But let's be fair.  What was your true intentions for posting those pictures?  Be honest.  Could it be to stir up the imagination of some guy into thinking "maybe I should go there?" or was it to show the historical color of the city and its people.

No one is taking this thread in a different direction because it was going downhill with those pictures and obvious lure toward marketing a service.

The Hotel Druzhba, in Lugansk. Said to be the best hotel in Lugansk. It is the hotel I usually stay at. Have been in a few other hotels just looking around and I would say that the Druzhba might be the best.

Something you should know. When most foreigners come here the front desk tells them to go to the second floor to register. If you get a room on the second floor, $50-$55 a night. The second floor rooms are identical to the 3rd, 4th, 5th, all the other floors. But the other floors, all but the second floor, are for Ukraine or Russian guest's.

We (opps, shouldn't say we should I BC or Jon), err, when I went their for the first time I did not know this about the second floor and we, errr, I, paid plus $50 a night. After asking around we found out that this one company bought the second floor, a hotel in a hotel. Foreigners were told to go to the second floor to register.

Well that was the last time I ever went to the second floor, now we, errr, I, register on the ground floor and we ask for rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor. Cost per night, $35.

What does that mean?  Women in short skirts are inferior to
young ones in traditional garb?  Puritanical?  Explain.

Seeing women in short skirts is one of the simple pleasures in life - one of my favorite things. ...Those two are not my type, but that kind of fashion should be encouraged!

BTW Jack, it is derogatory to refer to Texas as a pothole.:P

Photoguy,

If you are lost in the subject matter then there is indeed no hope for you.  If you can't see the difference then how will you ever know the difference between a skirt and a decent woman?

It wasn't about the traditional wardrobe.  It was simply to express that an agency owner is writing trips reports with women in short skirts to show "you" horny American men what's just over the rainbow.

Buy a tour, come see for yourself, it's all a dream...

P.S.  Agency adverts should remain in their proper section.

I've been to the restaurant a few times. The food is good. The menu is amusing. Amazes me everytime that when I go in there, I get the menu in English, even when I don't speak. Americans really do stick out, and I'm a quiet person. :)

Jon, you certainly are entitled to express your opinions but when your opinion starts slanting the truth and my intent, then I must speak up.

I posted the photo of the, as Connor noted, pothole, because I thought it looked like the outline of Texas. I posted the photo of the ladies in short skirts because this is very much what you WILL see walking in the center of Lugansk. So women who wear short skirts are not decent!  wow, from the mouths of babes. What ignorance.

This photo, despite what you and BC think and claim, was NOT posted for "horney" American men to show them what is just over the rainbow. Just more of "your" irrational thinking.

I would appreciate if you would not incorrectly state the purpose of my showing the photos I do. And if you are offended by good and decent ladies in short skirts I would suggest you not read any of my post's in which I include photos.

Jack,

The difference between what you've posted and wxman is that at least he had the decency to show some "real historical" sites.  I don't think all these women in short skirts is so terribly interesting except to "lure" men into believing that's what awaits them.

There is no distorting your agenda.  I do believe you have an upcoming trip planned in September?  Is this thread an attempt to solicit men without actually going through the agency thread?

I have "no" problems with you posting in the appropriate section.  You are an agency owner and I find it odd that you are posting in the "trip reports" section.

P.S.  Just to keep this above board.  I recently recommended a friend join your upcoming tour.  To the best of my knowledge, he called the other night, he had already sent you a check.  I have recommended your agency to a few other people in the past and will continue to do so.  Jack, I want you to understand that I think this thread is best placed in the agency section.  That's my agenda.  Nothing else.  But I also want others to know that even though I recommend men contact you, I will not become a sounding board for your threads.

Jon, your thinking is warped. Somehow, you view a photo of two women in short skirts as indecent because there's a good chance men will see them as being attractive, causing them to feel 'horny'. This is so in-line with warped feminism of the 80's. I really think you should focus on feminist types here in the States.  Are you really saying these two women are 'skirts' are not decent? Really? Talk about judgmental. If they actually are typical examples of women in Lugansk, then so what?  I don't think we should pretend sexual attraction is a bad thing. It's a good thing.  ...Now promiscuity is a different matter.  Doug

It doesn't matter what you think Jon!  If we all thought like you we would all be getting scammed.

NO, Jon, the posting of these photos has nothing to do with an upcoming trip that is sold out and cannot accept any new guys, duhhh, sorry to shot down that one theory of yours that your trying to play up.

I told you Jon, if you don't want to see all these indecent women in short skirts, don't look at my post's. But I do feel sorry for you in that all the women you have personally met wearing short skirts have not been decent women. I guess maybe I am lucky or do a better job of picking women than you as most the women I have met wearing short skirts have been decent women.
