Dan,

Honestly, I can't believe you think that Jack was posting "trip reports"?  Come on, please, I hope you can see that he is using this board to promote his agency or upcoming tour in September.

He was too blantant!  Wxmann did a much better job of showing the city and other historical sites.  When I returned from Kiev, did I post a bunch of skimpy women in short skirts?  No!  Because I think it's only something an agency would do so they can get customers.

Jack should post all his supposed "trip reports" under the agency section where they belong.

Jon

Jon,

It seems clear that you and Jack had suffered a serious 'falling-out'. I stated exactly what I felt. I, for one, like the photos. Maybe that says something of me and my character, or maybe not, but I still enjoy seeing them.

Perhaps the fact that I like them resulted in my not feeling suspicious of Jack's motives - but I don't think so. I know Jack jsut a little and I think I would know if Jack was running a promotional campaign. He is actually quite an effective marketeer, when he sets his mind to it.

I sincerely believe that Jack was merely sharing some photos with the board that he found interesting, and thought some on the board would find equally interesting.

Having said all that, I am not always correct - and certainly not about Jack (or Jon or anyone else). I am merely stating what I believe.

Hope that clarifies (even more).

- Dan[/quote]
Dan,

I take a more objective view because this section is for "trip reports".  Jack is an agency owner.  What's to mistaken about "intent".  I could understand if Jack posted photos like wxmann, but he didn't.  Women walking around in skimpy outfits is an advertisement campaign.  Especially if the person posting them is an agency owner and states "This is what you'll typically find there...".

All I asked is for Jack to move this topic to the appropriate section.  If he wants to say I am scam material then he just lost that bet because his post was borderline "scam" to lure men into this fall sense of what they can expect.

It's a lie!  Most men here will not date or marry a woman like those.  So what's the sense of posting these women?

I don't really care if Jack posts hundreds of beautiful women on the agency side.  He can promote his tour, tell men that these women wait for them, and do whatever an agency can do to promote themselves.

The next few posts wil see if the topic can be saved. It seems pictures of women make men aggressive. The Moscow thread is less agressive.

Bruno,

I would like to see more of wxmann's photos.  I think they were nice and I enjoy visiting Ukraine for historical lessons.  If I meet a nice girl then it's makes the trip more enjoyable.

Cheers,

Jon

Bruno,

I just did.  I liked them.  It's always good to know the cities which we will visit to meet a nice girl.  I personally wouldn't recommend anyone visit without some idea of what to expect.

Thanks for the reminder,

Jon

Jack with your permision, I will offer some thoughts about Lugansks.

Is it just me or does anyone else skip over any womans profile from that city?
Unless she comes with a personal reference, I would not even write a girl from there;... so bad is the reputation for scammers.

I have not really had bad experiance about lugansk, I have only heard a consistant complaint about the area. Also on free websites that basically cater to scammers you can see many listing from that city, an overrepresentaion.
It's a shame too because certainly there are honest women there as well.

Actually I did write one girl from there last year..... only I did not know she was from there as her profile listed a nearby city or something.
She was one of these deals where with each new picture.. I had to adjust her place on the scale of appearance, unfortunatly the move was always declining.
Still, I offered to meet her in kiev and offered to reimbers her travels but she insisted I send her travel money first.
I did not have the confidence in her to do that and my plate was pretty full anyways so I let her go.

So does anyone else suffer from Lugansk-phobia?
Am I out of step with reality?

Corp, their is NO getting around it, Lugansk is the scam capitol of Ukraine.

But it's not the women, oh sure their is a small percentage of scammers there as are in all cities, but it's all the scam agencies that have caused Lugansk to earn this reputation. I have been saying for over six years now, "If you could fine a good and honest agency in Lugansk you will have discovered the key to a goldmine".

The woman are fantastic. Beautiful, sincere, hardly ever see a foreign man. Most ladies who signed up with marriage agencies in Lugansk do not know what you and I know, most these women think the agency they signed up with is legit, but that's not the case, most agencies are scam.

Lugansk is a goldmine for beautiful and sincere women. All you need is the key. I am lucky today to have three good and honest agencies I work with. Several times a month we are hand deliver,...well I better not get into that or some will think I am promoting my agency. Just let me say that it's not the women of Lugansk that have gaimed this reputation, it's the scam agencies.

My fiance is from Lugansk. Sure, there are plenty of scammers in that city, but as Jack said, mostly the agencies. You can find many sincere women there. Once can easily do that without an agency. People are friendly, and contrary to beliefs, are eager to talk to you in their limited english. I have met people in Lugansk, and the most intersting are the cabbies. They love to talk once they hear you speak English. I even met a cabbie who use to live in New York as a cabbie there. His english was great, and he even had a mix of a Brooklyn/Ukraine accent. LOL

It is too bad that Lugansk has the scammer label. It does detract from the beauty of the people there. I look forward to my next trip there in September!

Jack, I am waiting to see what happens with the Northwest airlines strike on Aug 20th, as that is the airline I use. Tickets are readily available because people fear the strike, so I will wait to see the prices come down during strike. Most likely I will travel the last week in September, but will pin the dates down a little later.

Waxman, airfares are cheap now! Why wait? Seen prices for $930 roundtrip, that includes taxes.

If you can get there the 19, 20, 21st I'll buy  the first 6.5 rounds.

Damn that moderator is quick! :)

Way too quick! :D Actually with my worldperks, i can currently get flight for less than $900, but i know on August 20th, it will drop probably $100. And the flight will likely be on KLM instead of NWA. KLM is much better for overseas flights. Free booze. LOL

When I took NWA to Kiev, it involved three airlines. I guess they are partners. Phoenix to Minneapolis was Northwest, Minneapolis to Amsterdaam was KLM, and Amsterdaam to Kiev was UIA. Originally when I searched for KLM, the NWA site appeared as a fascimile.
I liked not having to worry about switching my luggage to other airlines. I was already busy worrying about the BIG meeting ahead, and the possibility of being robbed or questioned by the KGB.  :D

Jack, why not do these travelogue posts in the 'In-Country services'
section? You could post them in the exact same manner, but without much, if any, moderation. We'll follow you over there. I like photos, and I'm curious about these places you've been.

Photo guy,

You are correct, all 3 airlines have an agreement with each other, and are partners. Sometimes the flight from Minneapolis to Kiev is on NWA, and sometimes it is a KLM plane. It is like day and night the differences between the two. KLM is much better. I never know which it will be until I get to the gate. Everytime I have returned from Kiev to MSP, it has always been NWA.

Photoguy, Northwest is considered the booking agent for KLM flights in the Us.  As already stated, all three airlines are partners.

My last flight to Kiev as I said in my trip report was via KLM and I loved it.  It was nice to have a direct flight from the west coast to europe with a great entertainment system and then spend the night before continuing to Kiev the next day.

As a further note, I didn't see the one or two skirt pictures as Jack promoting an agency, but as a comment to what happens to Ukraine in spring and summer.  This has been commented on by many people not only on the boards where men are looking for women from Ukraine but other travel boards with more "straight" purposes.

As already stated, one should examine the various flights and determine which ones use KLM, rather than Northwest, for the flight to Amsterdaam. Evidently, KLM flights are nicer than NW.

Yes, thanks Jack. I don't know Jack. Or anything about his business over there, but I do enjoy these photos he took while walking the streets aimlessly. ;)  I wish he would post more, from other cities.
I think that would be good karma for him.
