Where to get some good advice for dating FSU women.

I had the good fortune to strike up a few conversations with some women from Ukraine and Russia during the past few months.  Although there wasn't an obvious connection, we continue to keep in touch.  I ask them questions about local life, dating, work, the economy where they live, etc.

I usually get good advice from them about what to look for and what to avoid.  Now mind you these are women from the FSU, so I am getting straight talk and not second hand knowledge.

There are quite a few knowledgably people on this list, including Jack, BC, KenC, PeeWee, Bruno, Shadow, and of course Elen.  I am not listing everyone for obvious reasons.  I don't discount anything I'm told, but I am also listening to what the women there are telling me.

For example, I met a database programmer for a national bank in Chernovtsy.  She is 36 and very down to earth.  Great English skills and a nice person, but we didn't have that "click" so it became more of "how's the dating going for you?" type of relationship.  She just sent me another email and expressed what many have said in the past.  It's more difficult to find an older partner in Ukraine because so many men want younger women.  So she is actually relaying what I've heard here. 

She and I will continue to trade dating stories and I will continue to learn more about Ukrainian women from her.  We both are learning and I give her some insights into dating foreign men.

I think it's a good tradeoff.  Has anyone else done this in the past or currently writing female friends in the FSU?

Do you want to know something scary?  My little scammer Galina tried to keep in contact with me and offered advice also.  Oh my god!  My skin would crawl when she would tell me all her troubles.  Her husband left her, the baby hasn't enough to eat, etc.  Now that I think about it, she was probably the best teacher of "what to avoid" that I could ever find.

I even got an email a couple weeks ago.  She misses me and wondered why I never write her anymore.  Okay, put the gun to my head now and gently put me out of my misery.

I actually write at least three women regularly and get some advice.  What better place?

Is this lady perhaps one who might be of interest to one of the forum members? I realize the forum was not established for the purpose of women swaping or promoting but if I had a good lady that was looking to meet a good guy I would try somehow to introduce the two of them. I had a friend in Vladivostok this is a super lady. Talk, blonde, thin, sexy, smart, honest, I have known her for 2 years. I would help her find a man if she had not just met a man who lives in Belgium. That meeting took her 3 years of trying to meet just the right man. I would have been interested in her had I not had an interest in the woman that I am with now. I agree, my lady friend in Vlad has been a big help to me with the advice and insights that she has given me these past years with regard to the RW psyche.

I know several women in Ukraine who I would like to see happy with "another" man.  But how does one go about this without sounding like an agency?  I will ask Oksana, Tatyana, Vlada, and a few others what they think.  But I am not sure they will be too thrilled with the idea of exchanging stats on them.

Maybe they can join?  I'll ask them.

I think it's easier to buy them in Russia than on the internet.  One is for a girl "my daughter who is 18" and a 14 year old boy (my son).

I still chat on regular basis with the girl I went to see in Kiev. We decided to stay friends, and exchange information. It was a good source of education for me.

I think you do a great thing helping your friends to find their mate. Besides, this would help you both to understand difficulties and realize wishes. (I know, sometimes people rather imagine their correspondents according to their own wishes, then see the real people - friendship is good because there are not many wishes really or expectations, and you see the person as close to the inner personality as possible)

Are you sure there are mainly americans looking for dating and dating advice? I mean, lately it seems that there are mainly Indians and Africans looking desperately for girlfriends. Oh yes, and moslems from all countries (I always have question, talking to such guys, for wife number ? are they looking...) (Though, all of them hardly need - or would be looking for advice). I am wondering also - are russian girls popular in Belgium? An acquaintance of mine married to a Belgian man, she's absolutlely happy there And a friend of mine also had a love affair with a guy from Copenhagen. Their affair stopped, cause the man could not provide the family, and my friend had to travel a lot in business... Sad - it was her dearest fairy-tale...

Well, you are right about the expectations from the other person, but there's also another difficulty: we got used to some particular realities of our life, and we always chose what to read between the lines according to our previous experience. I mean, sometimes what one person writes and what the other reads - are two different things, though they are written in the same words. And sometimes another one point of view could help, what do you think?

A local friend is the best way for find the right wife or have the good advice... she was a "reserve woman" during my first visit to Galina... We have stay friend... we write two or 3 time month for speak about some topic over the dating process...
