Hello all,
I’m new to this board.  I’ve had relationship with Russian women before, so I’m not a complete newbie, but do not have enough experience to be considered “seasoned” either.  My past relationships did not work out, so after a short break, I decided to get back on the horse again.

I plan to visit Ukraine in June timeframe, and thinking of spending some time in Nikolaev.  I’ve been to Ukraine before, but never to Nikolaev.  For those who have traveled there, do you have recommendation for an honest, dependable guide?  I could use a contact to help me with various things like pick-up, find an apartment, and help arrange dates with women in Nikolaev.  Thanks in advance.

One of my first GFs was from Nikolaev.  I met her in Nik. but didn't care for it much (nor did she, TBH).  So I stayed in Odessa and she rode the bus in each day.  That way you have control over your situation and you won't need a guide.. Odessa is pretty self explanatory.  For an apartment right on Deribasovskaya, contact Natasha at www.adam-and-eva.com.. she owns an agency and four apartments that she gutted and remodeled very tastefully.  And, she's honest.

To make the long story short, my first relationship did not work out because we were simply not compatible.  After a year of writing and being together, I had to accept that your differences (culture, personality, priorities, value) were too great to overcome.  She was otherwise a very nice person.  My second relationship, well, let’s just say that I did not want to be her and her family’s salvation.

Hello Ramus,

I have a different opinion of Nikoleav - I liked it.  I was there a few times in 2004-2005 timeframe. The main hotel was comfortable and in the center of town. It is sort of like Kherson, but (in my view) more country and less city.

There is a nice park by the waterfront and a zoo that is interesting. Good luck!

The best thing about Nikolaev is it's near Odessa.
