It's Morning in America
« on: June 07, 2008, 04:02:31 AM »
The sun is rising over the bay as I sip my coffee and read the latest news at RWD.   It's morning in America.

Saturday morning.

I'm an early riser-- always up by 6 a.m. for that first cup of coffee and some quiet time.

Marina is also an early riser--but not up until 8 or 9.

I'm wondering if other AM/RW relationships are similar.  Guys-- how late do you girls sleep?

And what kinds of activities do you typically do on a Saturday?

I'll contribute this thread to give newbies a snapshot and insights of what the future holds on a Saturday after you bring her home...

And for you guys across the pond who have already seen this day come and almost go, please contribute, too...

Isn't in weired - all this time zone stuff?   I live in your tomorrow.   :D   So, if there will be doomsday, people in Japan will have lived on day longer than their counterparts in USA...

Yeah, it's so true.  I'm watching another sunrise, and your day is racing toward tomorrow.

But it was even more pronounced when I was working in China and there was a 12 hour difference.  That make it easy to know what time it was back home...

My RW (married 5 years) also sleeps later than me in the morning. What's also funny is, I swear, every May to early June, she gets restless. There's a burst of activity, nesting, and extraneous endeavors. I've come to the conclusion its some ancient Slavic biological clock related to their short growing season. When the time comes, you've got to get busy fast to get the fields prepared and sowed, or you've missed your moment, and a winter famine may be in your future. Anyone else notice if their RW has some late spring burst of activity? :)

Having been over to FSU this past May for almost a month, I can say that I got up earlier then she on Saturdays, she loves to sleep. But during the work week, she gets up at around 7:30am or sometimes I would get up before her. I would go on the balcony and have a smoke and smell the fresh air, then she would come out and join me and we would have breakfast.

Depending on what has to be done around the flat on Saturday, we would just go the grocery store or take her son to the play ground. Then she would try to catch an afternoon nap if she could.

Damn I miss being there  ;)

But oh well, back to the grind here to get the funds to get back over there soon!  :D
