Introducing Myself to RWD
« on: June 07, 2008, 08:50:39 PM »
Hello folks - am I supposed to do this, create a "new topic" an introduce myself? Not sure anyone else really wants me as a topic, so maybe I misunderstood the sign-up instructions. Clarifications welcome. Anyway, although I'm new here, I've been married to my RW now for over 5 years. There's no doubt that this has been the greatest experience and greatest relationship of my life. I was married before to what I see we call here an AW, and divorced. My RW is my second marriage. Oh man, I could not have ever imagined in my wildest dreams that two relationships and two marriages could ever be so completely different. Yes, I feel I have the best wife in the world (as I know all the married guys here feel the same) and there is no AW anywhere in the county that is, or could possibly be, anything like my wife, or anywhere near as wonderful. I don't know why, but that seems to be the way it is. I did date many AW after my divorce, buy compared to my RW, there's just no comparison. I've had all kinds of experience in working my way through trying to meet the RWs, establishing a meaningful relationship, visas, marriage, adjustments, finances, how to be a "real man" (a forgotten art in AM I'm afraid), and I'm willing to share my experiences and advice with anyone that feels they could benefit from it. So, hello to all! :)

Yup! You sure said a mouthful there and I couldn't agree more!! I look forward to your participation in the future.

Welcome Stevie.

It is delightful how you expressed you happiness.  Yes, another happily married man makes RWD even better.

Hey Guys - thanks for the warm welcome. It seems in being married over 5 years already I'm one of the more "senior" fellows here in my experiences. We had our 5th anniv last November. It really was a special occasion. Looking back I wouldn't have changed a thing, but I think I can help some of the new guys navigate through some things better and help them with some things they may not be aware of. One thing those of that are married to a RW are aware of, for some huge set of intangible reasons, being married to a RW is unlike any experience you could ever have with an AW. Its more different, more delightful, more rewarding than I even imagined, and believe me, I imagined a lot!!

Welcome aboard steviej!

Yes, is nice to have someone else around that survived the adjustment phase ;)

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Cheers!
