Their language is not of Indo-European origin.
No, it is considered to belong to the Ugro-Finnish or Finno-Ugric group, which also includes Hungarian and Estonian.

Finns are not Scandanavian nor Slavic. Not Germanic either, I think. They are from some group originally known as Ugriks, I think. Perhaps this is more related to the Baltic peoples originally.
Their origin is debated:
Quote
The term Finno-Ugric is somewhat controversial today, with many historical linguists feeling that the Finno-Permic languages are as distinct from the Ugric languages as they are from the Samoyedic languages spoken in Siberia. Thus it is felt that the early Finno-Permic and Ugric groups may have diffused from proto-Uralic at the same time as proto-Samoyedic. It was earlier thought that the Finno-Ugric had separated first, and the branching into Ugric and Finno-Permic took place later, but this does not have strong support in the linguistic data. However, some proponents of the Finno-Ugric grouping have provided extra-linguistic arguments by marshalling archaeological evidence of separate Finno-Ugric peoples originally living across a large swath of Northern Europe.

A few Norwegians have told me this joke; when you talk to an introverted Finn they look down at their shoes. When you talk to an extrovert Finn, they look down at your shoes.
'Poorer' relatives are the butt of jokes in many cultures: witness the Belgians for the French, the Irish for the British, the Latin Americans for the Spaniards, etc.  ;)

I think we are gettin a bit off topic here ;)

Monday:

J. came oer to me at about 11 and it just felt a little sad from the start, This was my last day with her. She also had a job interview later that day and was a bit nervous about that. We spent the day, once again walking around, this time just in here part of the city. Talking about my next visit and what we wanted out of this.

Soon it was time to go back to the hotel and meet up with the taxi to the airport.

At the airport the lines to the security check was crazy. We stood together at the line and I felt really bad and glad at the same time when I kissed her goodbye. We allready knew that we should meet again soon. But I really didn't wanted to leave at that time.

The trip home was again very uneventful, but there was a lot of thoughts spinning in my head, could she be the one, or was it just wishfull thinking?

I don't have a defenitive answer to that yet. But I will go back next friday to, hopefully, know better if she can be the one i want to spend the rest of my life with.

I have no illusion that this next tripe will decide anything for us. Yes I will bring a ring, but just a one that will match the necklace I brought her the last time ;)
