Hi all,

At the moment I study a lot of RW profiles, maybe too much..., but today, among others, one caught my attention.
A Lady wants a man, "who is able to provide a Minicooper". First thought, oh wow, a "car-girl", that could be something. Second thought, it makes me wonder how much of true love and mutual understanding are in her thoughts and on which level? Well, as long as she don't wants a 1933 Caddy V16 Roadster or a 1953 Eldorado Convertable we can discuss  :P
Maybe one could start to think, I buy her a Minicooper, then she is mine, or better again, a CTS and it will last forever. I don't think so and I find it strange to mention such in an introduction of a profle, hum.
At the end I had a good laugh about that.  ;D

Regards,
CaddyDaddy

ps: I only go for a widow of an oligarch who owns at least 51% at Gazprom... :wallbash:

Absolutely none, as you probably figured out already. Sadly enough, you'll likely encounter girls like this during your search but to give her credit at least she's honest about what she wants and what she's willing to give in exchange - not all such girls are.

Caddy,
Yes it is very strange for a woman to request a specific car in her profile.  Maybe she was hoping for  Brit?

Stevie,
Yeah, right! I always hated when the guys forced me to go to the strip club too! :rolleyes2: :rolleyes2: :rolleyes2:

British cars ?..Sadly, we only build 'em and design 'em ... Minis are GERMAN .. owned by BMW :( ... and they aren't exactly "Mini" anymore ..

BTW: Rolls Royce and Bentley are owned by Germans -BMW and VW.. Jaguar and Land Rover are now Indian, and Aston Martin mostly by Kuwaitis..

Now if she had asked for one of THESE..  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ariel_Atom .. I'd know she was after a British guy ...!

When  was in Austin in 1997, some colleagues took me out for lunch at Sugar's. Very good steaks and lovely young, tanned pole- and lap-dancers.

Afterwards, they inquired if I had enjoyed myself. Like hell I did, it was like watching cakes in a confectioner's window, and not being able to eat at least a slice  :( ;) :D.

Sandro, Sandro, Sandro,
I am going to tell you like I told my own son, a strip club is no place to be shy.  It is up to the woman to tell you no and it is up to the man to push it to the point of "no." 8)

Mark,
I knew that, but some how I still associate the mini with the Brits.

Stevie,
Yeah, right! I always hated when the guys forced me to go to the strip club too!

It's tough work, but somebody's gotta do it! Truth is though, I never liked it except one time when they got me drunk, then I have a vague memory of liking it  :D

I do personally believe however there is a huge difference in strippers in the FSU and strippers here in the states. Mentally that is and physically as well.

This is way ... :offtopic:, but  LOL, I just GOTTA know ..

what's the difference between AW strippers and FSU strippers LOL

As you know, I've never gone to an FSU strip club with my wife and relatives there

Well I'm no expert by any means but I had a former roommate that was and still is.LOL In his professional opinion about 99% of American strippers have either self confidence issues, drug dependency issues, or a combination of both issues. He says a lot of American girls that strip have been victims of sexual abuse in one way or another. While I dont have the cold hard facts in front of me that would back up his theories, who am I to dispute a man who has spent much of his spare time during his adult life in these types of establishments. On the other side of the pond I think most girls strip because they need the money to survive. I think it is more socially accepted over there. Maybe I'm wrong. Again I'm not the expert. I know I would 100 times rather have a stripper from the FSU than a stripper from Hoboken for example. From what I've been able to gather through rumors is that the FSU strippers eat far less french fries as well.

I have tried to google "typical british" (Images)  :)

On the left is a typical British mouse Did you Check this mouse' passport? If so you'd have seen she was Russian and on a visa for treatment for her pregnancy ;)

]a typical British woman - except she's probably German - check out the url  ;)

The typical 'British' reaction - We only lose our heads when all around us are doing the same.. this chap Santa Claus is a "foreigner" who comes in on visa around Christmas - not a Brit !

A typical British family - too fashion conscious to be British... all that red hair, suggests you might be on the wrong island .. Ireland, maybe !

Typical British Summer Picnic - can't be Britain - the picnic bench isn't part submerged..! ( we are due 40-50mm of rain today in the west of england...

Another typical British summer - hardly ever rains in Norflok - one of the driest places in the UK .. totaly unrespesentitive of the locale ;)

enjoying typical British skiing - a mistake - there is some snow in the shot !

Typical British artifacts - Oh Olga - you can't have been to the UK .. men in red coats on benches were banned a long time ago !

Typical British village scene - you nearly got this one "right" ..;) this is a church - can't see the houses - this was how villages looked after the great plague .. the Churches ended up at the extreme of the villages .

the typical British humor - no.. British "humoUr" is spelt differently and is not something foreigners don't understand ;)

8pm in a typical British Pub - ah, yes those were the days .. sadly, our pubs are closing down - as it is cheaper to get drunk at home -  and you are allowed to smoke at home !! ;)

a typical British Pub lunch - Makes a change from the usual Chicken Kiev, Spag Bol, Baked Alaska, etc., one normally sees in a typical British pub ;)

MY wife likes to watch some of the old BBC comedies on TV such as "Keeping Up Appearances",  "Are You Being Served" and "As Time Goes By". Now one thing I've noticed in these shows is that the typical female in theses shows is unbearable, just unbearable. So, no wonder the Brit Boys are searching for the feminine soul of the FSU ladies  ;)

?!!
OMG these series are 15-30 years old !!

I could understand your comment if you are referring to the women character in "Keeping up Appearances" - and even Mrs Sugden (most of the characters long since died ) and her "Pussy" ( in those days most of us didn't have a CLUE what it meant t'other side of the pond - but I expect the writers did !) .. but "as time goes by" .. surely it's the male character with the "issues" :))

In defence of the British ladies - we had the wonderful character Barbara ( the STILL sassy - Felicity Kendal) in the Goode Life ( or Greenfields as FSU folk know it ) and your wife will LOVE "my family" when it gets to the States - though judging by the time this takes - you will see it when you have Grandchildren :))

I would not say "misconceptions" in straight lines  :) When people take picture of something they see what they see and their perception and views can be very different  :)

Poor Olga, you missed the British irony... the "Typical" is in italics !! - please check the website again ;)

A typical British Summers day by Alex Deakin
http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/world/news/04072005news.shtml

Thank goodness that was three years ago .. this time, last year Gloucestershire - where I am, now, was on Russian TV nearly every night for a week - too much rain - lots of floods - people with no electric, no fresh water - Veta was concerned for my Mother - who lived 8 miles away - Yet she had all utilities and no flooding -  she lived 8 miles downstream from where Russian TV showed the army helping keep water from an electric relay station !

Olga- Britain is a small place - people talk about the weather here, because it is so diverse and different.. I remember watching a Wimbledon Tennis final on TV -it was POURING with rain outside - a gale was howling -  thinking it must be a repeat of last year's final - something to keep our interest.. It was LIVE -  it was sunny and hot in London - we had a "monsoon" in Devon at the time ... and the temperature was 20C less - only 300 Km away .

You should have posted this artice about how British behave - when they see the sun .. ;)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/world/features/hotanddry.shtml

There in nothing typical about Britain - accents change in 50 miles, as one drives up a motorway ( highway) - enough to often confuse natural English speakers..

Living away from here, makes me appreciate these crazy islands when I visit. In Cyprus - my place  has only got fresh water supplies 36 hours a week - it is 38C - nigh on 100F - every day .. In Gloucestershire we had nearly 35mm of rain today... I was singing and dancing in it like Gene Kelly.. My Wife says she prefers this to Cyprus... we will see .. only five weeks to go and we will begin life as a typical British family ;) ..

Mark,

Probably I missed (hummus, Pot Noodle, modern British family of immigrants)  :). The six hour-long films, with the working title The Family (about typical British family) is shot (or still in process) by Production company Firefly. As it's written "Production company, Firefly, is in the process of looking for the family that epitomises family life in 2007 Britain."  :) and it is or will be about modern family in Britain.

Point is an author of the article has his own idea about "typical British family"  :)

About weather... three years ago...  oh, yes, may be we should consider the global warming  ;)

How can I say this , delicately.... the typical ( without the italics ) British Family isn't going to allow C4 to film them ;) .. We have so many reality TV shows, now ... and Channel Four is now losing money - for the first time in 16 years - it used to be famous for it's cutting edge , off the wall, "arty" TV ..

Making a production of the typical British family is NOT going to improve ratings- so you can be SURE they'll be anything BUT typical...

Olga.. you may be missing some nuances that make our pithy UK English "different" ... !!

About weather... three years ago...  oh, yes, may be we should consider the global warming  ;)

YEP.. Siberia "stole" our Summer !! .. The UK's seasonal changes seem to be getting less pronounced, but a lot more storms and rain.. conversely Cyprus is getting hotter and drier ..  I'm no "three hugging greenie", but even I'm thinking something is up ..

In any case we have a chance somehow to see a typical, even modern, British family  :D

Yes, very likely that I'm missing some nuances  :)

Ladies and gentlemen again we're getting  :offtopic: again. Lets get back to the original thread about the nuances of Russian strippers vs American strippers. Thats right my bad. It was about Ben being asked if a Yalta vacation was ok for a girl to ask for. My bad. I think we covered that. We mostly deemed it ok and not out of line right???
