Was just talking to someone I met this week and he told me about this site. Said he took a trip to Russia and could not believe all the women he saw and met. So I am just doing my mandatory post for now (no name calling)  
I am a teacher in the USA who has split from his wife and was always curious if these pictures of Russian women looking for men in the USA were or are real.

Perhaps you'd better rephrase it as a more articulate question in a post .

You have identified one of the early problems in this kind of pursuit. Many of photos / ladies are real but some
are not. This pursuit is not for everyone and certainly not for the timid.
I would recommend reading until your eyes bleed. Start with the 10 Commandments which will keep you
from being scammed and chasing real ladies, next read the FAQs. Then start reading the various threads.

When you come up with a few questions, come back here an post it here or start a new thread. (after reading the 10 commandments and the FAQs)
The search function here works fairly well

Stay away from AnastassiaWeb, if you wonder why just type AWeb or Anastassia web into the search box.

First of all lets make clear that all photo's you see are of real ladies. I have yet to encounter a picture that was entirely artificial.
However depending on where you look, some pictures might not be Russian women, and others might not be the owner of the profile.

However as you have here a wealth of knowledge to read and the possibility to get support on those things you can not figure out yourself, odds are that you can find a sincere woman.

Just a few questions.
Does your 'split' means that you are divorced ?
Do you have children ?

There is not a single thing written in ANY book on the net that can compare to the wealth of current information available right here at RWD.

I also believe in searching for every source of information out there. I for example read a book my Paul Magoscsi on the History of Ukraine.
It's a 784 page college like text book of history. (and not for everyone) I read books by Elena at Elena's models and I have read a plethora of
other books about this.

RWD will give you a wealth of information for free. Use all the information out their. Here you will also find experienced me and women that
can help you with questions, solutions and give you ideas.

You can also find valuable information in other places as well, but the resources here are great for the latest most up to date ideas.

RWD is a great and comprehensive source, but if you find a good book on history, Russian thought etc. You can get a lot of information
from this as well. When you read these books please come back here and discuss what you read.

I read 6 books on the first row but none of the others. I didn't read Understanding Russian Women by Donald Stevens.

Some of the books have been mentioned from time to time. I don't think there is anything dedicated to any of them - which is probably appropriate.

Consider that it takes substantial time to gather the information for a book, write it all up, get it edited, put it through the publication process - by the time it reaches publication, the information contained therein is at least a year, and probably more, out of date.

Now look back to some of the posts here from 12 to 24 months ago. Readers rarely venture there, because the information is stale - and for good reason. The Russia and Ukraine of today - and especially the USA of today - is much different than it was 2 years ago.

Far better to read through the CURRENT information contained here at RWD, and then - as you suggested - ask questions.

In the case of educating oneself on historical events - sure. But if looking for current events and tips based on things as they are RIGHT NOW - RWD is vastly superior.
