Ken, you saw her little Tracker when we met up your way. Now Ellie's stepped up to that Explorer we picked up in Virginia - it looks like a Monster when all 5'2" of her stands aside it, and she's more secure with its size.

A '71 Rambler? Has anyone even seen one lately?

Vaughn

Vau-gun!

How the hell are you? Hope all is going well way down South! I think Elena would freak if I got her an SUV let alone anything that big. I'll be quite happy if she just learns how to navigate without hitting anything!

Hi to the family from us,

You guys would be surprised at how familiar all this sounds.

OK, I have one that won't be as familiar for you.  With the remnants of Wilma mixing with a low pressure air mass from the west, tonight's forecast is for 3 to 5 inches of snow.  The weathermen say to expect a few more inches on top of that over the next 48 hours.

Up for teaching a RW to drive in the snow?  :hairraising:

If she is from Siberia, not a real problem... she will have more experience that yourself... only explain her that during summer, in USA, vodka is not needed to be added to benzine :D:D:D

Not if she's never driven before. I'd rather teach someone to drive in snow than in the ice storms we get here. That along with everyone thinking they are a NASCAR driver make me want to have a Sherman tank to drive.

When I was in Calgary I saw a pickup truck that had a 2 inch square steel pipe welded all around the vehicle. Now thats some protection from the idiots!

My theory is that if cars were constructed like "bumper cars" they would just bounce off one another and there would be fewer fatalities. I wouldn't mind a hard rubber spring loaded strip around my Honda Civic.
