Hello Everyone!
« on: September 23, 2008, 10:03:11 PM »
I recently "stumbled" upon this site and I am pleased to know that this resource is still around.  A few years ago I dabbled with participating in RWG and another site that I do not remember, but let it go because my schooling took a huge amount of time.  It seems that many of the group migrated here and I look forward to getting reacquainted with you as well as other new members.

I began my RW adventure about eight years ago and was lucky enough to be "hooked" by Oxana.  Her family migrated from Siberia to the "stans" when she was a teenager before settling in Kazakhstan.  During the five weeks I spent with her in the spring of 2001 we were engaged.  Part of the deal was for me to meet her in Moscow for the K1 interview.  We met in Moscow for what turned out to be our honeymoon on 9/11/2001 and have been happily together since.  The adventure includes immigration through citizenship, reestablishing her career here, becoming proficient with the language, driving lessons, college classes for her, no English for our daughter, and...  In a few weeks our 7th anniversary will be upon us.   Our daughter is a junior in high school and I take her for her driving test tomorrow :o

Welcome, Barry!  I'd like to hear some war stories from the "goodle" days.
I met my wife about a month before 9/11....

Best of luck (and skill) to your daughter tomorrow. Learning to drive
and road tests were memorable events in our household.

Vaughn
