Can I buy her ticket ? (Question) please help

My girl in Ukraine.. we are thinking of meeting in Jamaica. I already figured connecting through the USA would be a problem for her.. I can get around that.. however..my question is, in order to buy her air ticket do I have to send the money to her and trust her or can I buy it FOR her?

We cannot tell from your post how long you have known this woman or at what stage your relationship is at. Unless you know her REAL well, do not send money. Buy her a ticket and send it to her. As far as flying through the US, not gonna happen.

You say she is your girl, but your asking about trusting her, when did you first meet her? How much time have you spent with her?   And if your answer to question number 1 and 2 is natta, zero, nunya, then nooooo, you don't send her the money.

You can buy her a ticket, in her name, to be used for that flight for that one day only and cannot be exchanged. Might be safer to go this route.

I don't know much about transit visas, but wouldn't they be easier to get than a tourist visa?  Or do they treat them the same?

Seriously , get a copy of her passport (information pages only) and buy a e-ticket.  Kiev to Amsterdam to Jamaica is very cheap ticket.

Ever hear of a pro-dater? Real women, real letters, real phone calls. Take them on a trip and they will enjoy themselves. Then will ask for money later because they have "hooked" you. But never have any intentions of marriage. And they can take their time reeling you in. The fact she is on every web site is not a good sign.

Well, here is another way of looking at it. Let's say this woman was from Ohio and you had never met in person but have spent a lot of time talking to her, would you pay for her trip to Jamaica so you could meet?

Whose idea was it to meet somewhere besides Ukraine?  If it was hers or if she strongly hinted at the idea, then this is a huge red flag.  If she specifically mentioned Jamaica, knowing that she could travel there without a visa, this is an even bigger red flag.

If I were you I would back way off and insist on an initial meeting in Ukraine, preferable in her home town.  Her response will say volumes.  And most important - NEVER SEND MONEY UNTIL YOU HAVE MET HER AND KNOW YOU CAN TRUST HER.

I have to agree you have giant red flags going.  Did you correspond with her on HRB/RLM?  If you did I am sorry to tell you it is a set up.  She will arrive to meet you there and then she will disappear in two or three days.  Does she speak good English or are you speaking with her through a terp?  What kind of accomodations have you discussed with her?

The flowers were identical yes. I call her. I've researched a bit and even found her facebook account on the Russian facebook site.. It is obvious she is out there for something, what I don't know.

I've ruled Jamaica and she seems fine with me going to Ukraine. I'm also fine if its just a visit where we have fun with no long term intentions.

My fear is two fold:

-HIV/AIDs
-her not showing to meet me or ditching me shortly after. However, I'm figuring I can find someone else if that happens.

Really Im looking for a good time with a woman I perceive to be clean and not so money hungry. of course, she 'seems this way'.

Man, if all you want is to bed an FSU girl and have no expectations of a future relationship why would you be looking 7000 miles away?  This is expensive and risky "fun". Single FSU girls are all over USA and will cost you no more than a few drinks in a bar. Think about it for a few seconds. She has her profile on how many sites? How many other men could she be speaking to about sending money for tickets and travel visa's?  Her asking you to send money is a red flag. Photos of flowers can be from any "womens day or birthday" from a relative in the past, is the photo time stamped?. it is typical form en to send flowers to these women on dating sites. Calls on the phone? She could be speaking with a dozen other guys about the same plans, only to "cash in" on the naive. Thousands of these people do this as a family business. Anti-Scam sites show you how they operate. check out the scamcard 3.1 link here http://ScamCard 3.1  on the site, the visit a few anti scam sites and see if her name and email addy are on the list.  What site did you find her on?  check out her emails by copy and pasting a few lines in a search engine, she may be sending the same letters to a dozen men.  Check her IP address to see what city country email server she is writing emails from. This will take a few minutes and tell you a lot about her intentions. Slow down, you're moving to fast, ask her to take and send you new time stamped photo's of her daily life to make sure she is the one in the profile you found her on. Make sure she is genuine before investing your heart, soul and money. Clearly if you have to ask such a question, you are not secure in this young relationship. Don't send money to anyone you haven't met in person and know well!  We all have the same fears,  her not showing or ditching you is 50/50, so make a back up plan, and meet in a place you can easily enjoy without meeting anyone, if this turns out to be the case. May as well make it a vacation for you. Neither of you need a visa to travel to Ukraine. Tickets are high right now, so plan on spending 2000- 300 on such a trip. Count the future cost of having a long distance relationship. It won't be cheap. Spending $1000 a month is typical. Do you have this much disposable income laying around to invest in a relationship?
