I should probably post this in the NEWBIE section, but when I saw Doll's comment, it brought back some "memories". If you ever see a woman's profile that says something like "SEX IS NOT IMPORTANT TO ME", .....don't walk away...RUN from her. Seriously, she is not kidding. I met such a woman years ago, before I met my wife. Trust me, there are alot of "damaged" Russian woman who view sex as an unecessary chore. They will have sex with you, but you will feel very sorry for them afterwards (ie: closed eyes, spread legs, hold breath and jump out of the bed and run to the bathroom when you are finished with your "business") and you will feel dirty when it is over!!

Let us follow some advice and know when to fold them.  Wayne either you get a lawyer or leave yourself open for whatever can and will probably happen.  Who is worse someone that can not read, or someone that can and does not?  

If I missed you saying you got counsel then sorry.  We can not help those who do not help themselves.  Time is your ally, you lost a lot of it.  She knew what you had or did not have when she got here. She will answer to whatever power the board cares to think of.

I would never underestimate what a woman trying to give a better life for her child is capable of.  I am not a parent, but there seems to be little my friends would not do for their children.  It could be selfish and she only cares about herself.  It does not matter, you need to get this fixed.  A stitch in time saves nine.  You are already quite a few stitches behind in this game.

She has all the time in the world to think and act on thoughts.  Just remember that, she had plenty while you were at work.  Look what happened.

See marriage of Rabie in CA. A green card guy but that case and a couple of others sets the stage for Annulment on the basis of fraud. The SOB in Rabie even fathered a child. . .  and lost his case. Important loss because that loss unravels the green card as a slam dunk.

Colorado recognizes Misrepresentation and Fraud as grounds, but they are not
specifically listed under Michigan or North Carolina (where we reside) guidelines.

In 1996, I wedded for a second time (in NC), a rebound marriage that lasted only
9 weeks before my two daughters and I walked. Talk about fraud! I never explored
annulment, we divorced, no contest.

I know a attorney, Michael York that practices immigration law and is licensed to practice criminal law in both Minnesota and Michigan. His associate a Mr. Dean Hove is a retired District Director of the INS and has been an expert witness in immigration fraud cases. Its not listed specifically on the website for CA either. But- it appears prominently on the judicial council forms.

Vaughn- you and your ex might have been able to stipulate to annulment depending on what the state rules are. When in doubt, we always look at case law to help interprete what the statutes mean.

State law prevails-generally, where the parties RESIDE, not where they got married.

I think this is not a russian trait but a personality trait ... If you drive and see a wall, do nothing to avoid it, blame only yourself. If the wall appears at the last minute minute, this is a different story but (with as only knowledge what has been posted here, truth can be other) with so many red flags, he was running after trouble and get them.
