5 years already?
« on: November 06, 2008, 08:00:45 AM »
Three days ago Lil and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. Sadly we were 1700 miles apart at the time, as I was in PA, and she, home in FL. Hard to believe that 5 years have passed so quickly, but on the other hand it's really amazing to look back and see how far we've come, and the myriad of obsticals we've gotten past - together.  8)

Jet, congratulations to you and your wife. Yours is one of the true success stories here, I hope you'll both be able to celebrate together soon enough.

Jim, from my family to yours, congratulations.

This summer we will also be reaching the 5 year mark.  While some things get easier over time, other get more difficult.  All of them are good, and I know we are truly blessed.  All the best to the three of you!

Thanks for the warm wishes everyone  :).

Groovlstk, I arrived back home at 10:30 last night and she was waiting for me at the gate, so things are good!

Conner, you and I have travelled many of the same roads through this journey, and everything you said is spot-on. It can be work at times, but it's ALWAYS been worth it. The dividends far excede the investment in the relationship. Hope your family continues to do well too!

Hard to believe that she's been putting up with you for 5 years already!

Congratulations to you both! It is always a joy to see stories such as yours.

Congratualtions to you and the little lady.

Splendid news Jet.  I recall the event 5 yeqars ago.  Time flies.

You broke all the rules and found a winner.  As AJ would say, one must also be the right man and I beleive you are.  I know there will be a 10th and 15th and .... Don't tell Lil that I mentioned future anniversaries because RW consider it bad luck.  Heck, you know that.

Hi Jet! Congratulations! That's a good mile stone. For some reason I thought you guys were like 8 years together or something like that.  :couple:  Did Lil cook anything special for you?  ;)

Hey, Jet... Congrats...

But I'm with Anastasia on this one... I thought you were married longer than 5 years... Viktoriya and I are coming up on Six, and somehow I thought you were ahead of me by a year or two...

BTW, what part of PA?

Sorry I didn't get back to this thread sooner, we've been extremely busy  :-\

Diplomacy,Catz, AJ, Gator, Turboguy, GoodOlBoy, & Shadow Thanks, and I hope that all of you enjoy the happiness we have for the past 5-6 years  ;)

Anastassia, my wife takes care of me veru well in many different ways, cooking isn't one of them (and I'm perfectly OK with that)  ;D We did celebrate though.

Mark, I was in Montgomery County, about 40 miles NW of Philadelphia.

Capt B, no problem at all. I haven't been on the boards much either this year. Congrats to you and your lovely wife as well! Glad to hear things are good  :)
