What is the most cost effective and secure method to mail packages to the Ukraine? Specifically, the Chernovtsy region.

I have sent packages to Kiev, Simferopol, and Antratsit in Ukraine and to Novokuznetsk in  Russia  all using good old USPS Global Express mail.  They have typically arrived in 10 days to two weeks.  Every package I have ever sent this way has arrived intact.

True, US postal service Global Express is the best bet.  It takes 10 days (even though they claim 3-5) and cost about $30 to $45, depending on the weight.

FedEX and DHL and UPS cost a lot more with the same level of service.
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.  michelangelo

So far, we have had good luck using MEEST to ship to Russia.  I understand they are more organized in Ukraine, with lower pricing.  I have shipped packages of 40+ lbs with them.

USPS--Air Priority     Around 2 weeks to Odessa; about $10 less than Global Express for same weight
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.
