Are you a Taurus? This sounds like a horoscope reading, and an optimistic one at that.
The lady is likely using a translation program that mangles reflexive verbs and meaning
when turned into English.

Yes, 2009 isn't supposed to be a very good year for Taurus 8).

In all honesty, Phantom, I hope the rest of her correspondence is far easier to understand...

Maybe SHE's a Taurus....  or it's just a general reference to her hopeful outlook to 2009?

I hope so to, Vaughn,  maybe it is the meaning of something hopeful for 2009.  Might be interesting to see though.

I guess it's not about the Taurus but about the Year of the Bull (Ox?) of the Chinese horoscope.

when the Bull knocks on a door it is for fun.
That your life may become lighter, better, brighter and more cheerful.
That you will not have worries all year, and all dreams come true.

2009 is the year of the Bull (Ox) in the Chinese zodiac, and you will see a lot of things related to bulls at this time.

Two of my New Year's gifts were cows - 2009 is the year of the Bull/Cow.  Based on last year's gifts from the same persons - 2008 was the year of the pig.

I don't believe in Horoscopes, but had to check out the links. Interesting reading...  The latest posts are correct.  It does look like it's about the Year of the Ox.  This is one of the first things all of my Russian friends would discuss.  I observe that many in Russia really care about Chinese Zodiac Signs and Horoscope.

I observe that many in Russia really care about Chinese Zodiac Signs and Horoscope.
As anywhere else for astrology in general, and predictions for the future in particular ;).

An interesting parallel between Chinese and Western horoscopes is their having the same 12-year cyclicity, due in the latter case to the fact that Jupiter, the planet associated with expansion and hence fortune, takes that time to circle the whole Zodiac, staying 1 year in each sign which thus becomes the 'lucky' sign for that period. The planet entered my sign (Aquarius) on January 6, I'll let you know how lucky this year will be for me :D.

One 'scientific' way to verify the accuracy of astrological predictions for the future is to cast them for the past. I cannot remember 1997 as a spectacularly lucky year for me ::). It was my last year with IBM before retiring in mid-February 1998, and involved a 2-month transfer to Austin, Tx in April and holding a class in Nicosia, Cyprus in September. In hindsight, not at all bad ;D.
