I have always had paper tickets for the overseas flights on Aeroflot to Kiev. I don't think they'll be up to date with electronic stuff for a while.

All of my trips--AustrianAir; CzchekAir, Aerosvit used paper. E-tickets weren't even mentioned by my travel agent, even for domestic legs
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

Both.  I have had Etickets on my most recent 2 or 3 United/Lufthansa flights.  No problems.  I have always been issued paper tickets when flying Northwest/KLM.

A representative from the airline should be able to tell you everything you need to know. I tried in March, to get e-tickets from NWA for all three legs to Kyiv. It didn't quite work correctly online, so I set it all up over the phone. They then mailed me either a confirmation number or actual tickets, I can't remember, but when I went to NWA for the first leg of my trip, they set it ALL up there at reservations, gave me all the necessary tickets for three legs to and from Kyiv. No problem. Each airline may have a different protocol.  Doug

According to Aerosvit's in flight magazine; they will start phasing in e-tickets by the end of this year, beginning with New York- Kiev route.

BTW- Saturday the customs inspector manning the green line was VERY efficiant, questioning ALL declared items. He especially seemed interested in jewelry, liquor, and tobacco.

Later, as I was waiting in Terminal A for my flight to Odessa, I talked with a couple of other Americans who had also noticed the same official. One of them said that one of the first things asked by the officer "when is your next flight?" Once he knew the guys were on a tight timeline, he graciously offered to "expedite" the customs process;)
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.
