Did not look very bad. I have personally seen a lot worse at GE, Delphi, and Rockwell Automation - companies I have worked at in past 10 years.
You never know how somebody is going to react when fired and I always have HR and security present. I had one guy at Delphi (former football player for a big Florida school) run out of the room and grab his computer and tried running to the parking lot. The 55 year old security head at Delphi (retired FBI) did a nice open field tackle in the parking lot as this guy tried to get to his car. They also got in a fist fight. Later upon examination of his computer we found nothing why he would do this. He was fired for a false travel expense report he submitted.
Another time at Delphi one of the top executives had a lot of problems. She showed up one day and two security guards dragged her out with her feet dragging across the floor. About 1,000 plus people saw this as this was a very big division in Kokomo Indiana. This lady was 175 pounds and about 5 foot 3. By the time she got to her car you could tell her legs were very scrapped up.
Another time at Delphi we had to fire 300 plus IT people. We hired the local riot police for this as the entire building was getting shut down. The strange thing is most of the 300 workers were India professionals that had come to USA and become USA citizens recently. But their jobs were being moved to India do to lower costs.
I got dozens more but this is just a couple I remember or can talk about. But I have seen men / women who were fired throwing punches, death threats, etc. The worse ones are when people are just silent and show no emotion. They are the ones HR and the outside support companies which are hired really need to focus on.
