Medical Exam in Ukraine
« on: February 07, 2009, 05:41:49 PM »
Hi, Everyone.

My fiancee will have her medical exam next week. Today she said she is a little nervous about it. Going to a different city and seeing a doctor she does not know. She is Ukrainian, so if anyone has been to the medical exam in the past year or so.

What was it like?

Thanks!

My wife had hers a couple of weeks ago and our daughter had hers last week.  From what they say, it's really no big deal and nothing to be nervous about.  Just be sure she has her vaccination records from her local clinic.

Yes, she has her vaccination records and 3 passport photos. Also was told to bring a copy of the letter with the KEV#.

Thanks again!

Hi,
I had my physical exam in Kiev last year, it's really no biggie: blood test for HIV, X-ray, questions about medical history, surgeries, etc. The doc was very nice there, your fiancee doesn't have to worry at all :)

One very important thing to remember is that she cannot open the envelope with the medical results inside.  It must be sealed when the embassy receives it.  I don't know why it is such a big deal, but my wife says they inspected her envelope very carefully to be sure there was no evidence of it having been opened.

I received a full report today about medical.

There was 50 to 60 people there and they were going to different countries (America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand).

The medical exam was easy... x-rays, blood test and a exam. They look at her inoculations.

It was a lot of waiting.... She met a couple of ladies coming to America. Later in the day everyone started worry as a lady and one man did not pass medical.

Other then the wait and worry, she said it was very easy.
