To do list planned

After the second trip of Anna to Canada,
We have started a todo list after her arrival (order does not reflect priorities):

Before her final arrival:
- Prepare bedroom for her son

After:
- Find a school for her son
- Do all documents for medical insurances, etc
- Learn french
- Learn to ski
- Learn Ice skating
- Learn to drive

What was your todo list ? Is there anything you will suggest before and after her arrival ?

[Diplomacy]

Before her final arrival:
- Prepare bedroom for her son
- Got Russian Channels and Direct TV
- Closed caption turned on television
- Clean the house beyond what any one person should have to do
- New Sheets and Linens
- Talk to ESL teacher and researched program
- Found Online Driving classes for the permit
- Explained to the pets, that their is going to be a new sheriff in town.(I am a little worried about them.)
- Found some potential friends for her son.
- Bought the English version of some movies, he has seen over and over in Russian.
- Been eating a lot of Potato
- Found where he can take Ju Jitsu (currently in Tae Kwon Do)
- Found Russian Deli/market
- Got health Club membership
- talked some smack with my fishing buddies, that my son is going to catch a beigger fish than them this year.
- Prepared mentally and fiscally for having a child and single income family
- Prepared for the fact, I must learn the "right way" to do everything.


After:

Vinnvinny, you are not married ? Diplomacy list is really accurate....there are some nuances in our case as my wife has already spent 2 months in Canada in our home, so question about what is right and cleaning are already determined...same for our cats who now understand russian...
