I was never on a quest or hunt for a wife. Maybe I was and didn't know it. I was a divorced single father for 16 years and purposely ran from any woman with the idea of marriage, for my own reasons. And there were several with designs. I wasn't looking for or wife shopping when I went to Elena's unless I was doing it subconsciously. I was looking for a woman. Different from the women I was finding. Thats as honest an answer as I can give you.

I seamlessly transitioned right in to Elena's without wife hunting thoughts straight from Yahoo and the other US personals that I had frequented for years. My only other foray with FSUW personals was with RWGlobe a year or so earlier. I was hunting women with no serious end result in mind. I was a happy bachelor or perhaps I wasn't and didn't realize it

Before you can communicate with a foreign woman on EM who is residing in the US you have to click on an agreement which states things like you've never been married to a foreigner or applied for a visa for one. I'll have to cut and paste the whole thing here later, it's interesting but in a stupid kind of way.

In my opinion IMBRA has empowered agencies to scam more.  Its a pity the will to fight that crap seems to have faded.

I agree.. the fact is almost everyone has internet in Russia these days.. many russian women use skype, and definitely yahoo. In my - uninformed - opinion : this was sperad by agencies, because they earn money by translating.

Many many Russian and Ukranian girls speak English { dont need translations} and a higher number of us, women, actually have accounts on yahoo etc etc..

I am not sure if yahoo personals would be a great place to find a russian woman.. and yes, there are many scammers on yahoo and match.com.. but these agencies deliberately like to tell that the "lady" doesnt have email, she has to come here and we need to translate etc etc

SO in summary:

[1] Having a hotmail or yahoo account does make one a scammer -> if that was the case, then almost everyone in UK, India and South east asia would be fake..

[2] There are a lot of spammers on yahoo personals and on match.com

[3] If someone wants i can show them some great scammers posted on american sites as american girls .. { not russians.. just amercian women.. looking for american men}
