Not real.  Typical scam.  You can be assured that it is a scam.  Good luck Wayne.

There exist elaborate SCAMS that waste time, and dupe some guys.  There is no woman you are writing to.  Pfft!  Smoke  Nothing  Nada

Then, there are women who "fish" a lot.  These ladies may have dated one, or many AM.  They may have come close to coming to the USA on a VISA already. They may spend much time on the internet.  They may be friends with popular guides.  They may just go to Foreign Friendly restaurants and cafes.   My point is that there is a history with many of the hottest girls on internet sites .. because  they are hot :)    Often, these ladies get labeled scammers too.  Not the entire truth.

Hey tim 360,Why did you call me Wayne?

Wayne, Wade, Bob, Gophers Ears.. what's in a label anyway?  ;D  Surely that was a slip of the keyboard.

I'm afraid you're probably going to be disappointed with the outcome of this communication.  She has a bit too much "desire" to know you, etc.. this will probably develop into "love" in the next few letters.  Really, it's a fairly typical looking scam letter with your name inserted, a couple of lines directed at you, but htne most of the letter very generic.

Think about it, she wants to learn you better, so where are her meaningful questions?  These ladies will interrogate you rather intensely when they are interested in you (evaluating your potential as a partner).  I want ask you.. I want ask you.. I want ask you.. I want ask you... I want ask you.. I want ask you.. ad infrickinitum

Did you get the number yet? call her? check the email header? Sacrifice a chicken for Celestial Wisdom?

Anyway, don't let yourself get attached to the photos.  She's probably a wil o' the wisp.

Dude I am on my second round with the RW thing. I made my first trip to Ukraine in 2000 and was married there at that time. 9 years later I am divorcing. Didnt work out but we are still friends and in fact I just saw her at her nephew's birthday party. So I am onto round #2 and already I am making mistakes and violating pretty much all of RWD's 10 commandments. My impulsivenes is getting the better of me and I am trying to calm down and take it slower. But its a fight. Here's a few words of advice from me to you:

1) Be realistic about what kind of woman you can land. The bigger the difference in looks and age the bigger the chance that you are being taken to a place you don't want to end up in - scamerville. Just try to imagine yourself and the girl you are corresponding with walking at the beach on a hot summer day. You are in swim trunks and she is in a bikini. Do you look good together or are people thinking a) He must be super loaded and where is his Ferrari parked or b) he kidnapped her and she is not acting flighty because he treatened her....My 1st RW is definately better looking than me and 11 years younger but we still get complimented as a "good looking couple" and the like.

2) Can you afford this? Its gona cost a lot of money. Can you afford to get on a plane to Russia or Ukraine in the next 4 months? If not dont start communicating with anyone yet, save some money and then start. You don't want to be just another time-wasting keyboard romeo.

3) Use the right websites. I recommend Elena's Models or Cuteonly.com. Be careful with per-per-letter agencies. They gorge on suckers and chew them up and spit them out penniless and heart-broken within months.

4) Once you are communicating with someone you like google the hell out of her name, email address, IP, etc. This costs nothing but could save you from chatting with Fat Yuri or his evil cousin Pavel the Pervert.

Good luck to you. Number one rule, respect the advice of others who have walked this path before and keep it real. Kidding yourself never gets you anywhere.

I googled this     I-like-to-leave-for-city-for-a-wood-on-the-nature from her/his letter to therealbackdoor:.

http://www.romancescam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19542

From the scammer

I like to leave for city for a wood on the nature where pure air, to do picnic.

This is the rest of what he/she said to therealbackdoor on what he posted on page 2 of this thread.

In me there is a need to have a rest from city noise and vanity.  And I have dream to live in a country house where there will be a full calmness and silence.

From the scammer.

"There clean air and he to allow calmness in soul.

In me there is a need to have a rest from city noise and and vanity. And I have dream to live in a country house where there will be a full calmness and silence

As ScottJay said "Google is your best friend". Don't you guys know this trick of pasting in a sentence in a Google search engine?

Good for you Wade. You just passed Scam 101. For some people its a very hard class to pass and many fail. There is only one way to pass this course and this is how. When you see its a scam you must also believe its a scam. You now believe. Many men refuse to believe the truth and fail miserably.
Now if your interested in women from the former Soviet Union. Find some free sites, get some nice pictures taken and make a plan. The most important part of your stategy should be to plan on a trip within 4 or 5 months of intial contact. Write some letters and buy a phone card. After a few letters dont be afraid to ask for their phone numbers and call them. If you have any questions we will be glad to help. Good luck

1) Don't fall in love with a picture.
2) Don't commit yourself to one woman you never met.
3) Have a back up plan if the meetings don't work
4) Don't send money
5) Read the horror stories * and know what you are risking if you let your heart overwhelm your instincts.

Hey Wade, welcome to the forum.  A lot of men, such as myself, first became aware of the possibility of expanding their search to the former Soviet Union due to being approached by a scammer.  There are some great REAL women out there.

In addition to what others have said, my 2 cents include:  don't describe yourself as a "Caucasian" unless you came from Caucasus (it is a real place); if you are going to pursue women from the former Soviet Union, start learning some Russian now--there are free sites on the internet that teach you to read the Cyrillic alphabet, and there are resources such as Pimsleur Russian language CDs available through bookstores and online stores; search for women who speak English; when you find a woman you are interested in, get a phone number as soon as possible and call her, be mindful of the time difference.  I have to add www.freepersonals.ru, and www.chance.crimea.ua to the list of websites.  Freepersonals is free, and some of the same women listed at Elenasmodels are also on freepersonals.  Scammers could be on any site, don't send money to someone you haven't met.

Good luck!

Aweee, sorry, Wade, to hear that the Yulia girl was a scam. I totally agree with the rules above, and yes, never send money anyone you met online.

do an IP search and see if that turns anything up.. IP is likely to have more interesting results..

How does one do an IP search?

First you find your "Full Headers" option in your email preferrences, tools, wherever they may be. Do a Help search. Then you just copy and paste the IP address into google or a search engine used for just such purposes. I use dnsstuff.com, go to the free tools and paste it into the IP or WHOIS and it'll give you an address of the provider. If the person claims to live in Lugansk but has an IP address showing Texas, well then you've probably got a scammer by the tail and they are hiding behind a proxy server.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all your help and input, without it I would have just been another vitum. I think for now I am just going to hold off on the whole internet dating thing. I am going to be inbetween jobs soon (plan on becoming a truck driver) so my free time is going to be minimal. If I were to really get serious in courting a foreign lady I am going to need to give it my undivided attention. I may drop off of the radar for a while but I will be back.

Thanks again everyone you guys are great. 8]

I am so glad that I found this site posted on a Yahoo forum I have been watching, it seems that so many people on this site have a vast amount of knowledge to share and past life's experiences to share. I appreciate everyones efforts greatly, I had nearly given up and felt that all of the web sites were just out for my money or email letters, addresses that never get replies from etc...  Glad I am on this list now.
