FWIW, this sounds mighty familiar. While I'm sure Muddy is not the first customer disgruntled that the puppy he picked out didn't arrive house-trained, I seem to recall a certain troll named Tim7 (among other handles he adopted here, Mike43, Joe7, Scorpion) extolling the benefits of keystroke loggers after discovering his fiancee talked about him in emails to her friends as if he were a cut of prime tuna rather than a human being.

When I first started thinking about looking to FSU a term was frequently used in here to describe the type of man a FSUW wanted.

That term was "a real man".

This meant something to me because I grew up with my very Euro family (Ukrainian, German, Greek blood) using the same term.

"You must grow up to be a real man".

"Your uncle is not a real man because..."

"See,  this is a real man because..."

It was just the way we developed our life references...

Sadly,  I see very few men in this search who my grandmother would regard as "a real man"... in fact I see few men around me in real life who would be a "real man" to her.

I too aspire to be one (and have failed miserably in the past), but I think we should all strive to be "a real man" - if we're looking for such an impressive life partner.

A real man would never feel the need to use a keylogger.  A real man has no need for one.

I'm no expert on the USCIS, but the fact that K1s are processed faster in Columbia than Russia or Ukraine has nothing to do with the consular officers in the latter two countries being on the watchout for shrewd, calculating Russian women 

As far as I know, the USCIS processes these petitions in the order they are received (contrary to what some shady law firms who advertise their visa services claim). Once a petition is approved it then goes to the beneficiary's local embassy, where the wait times vary.

How then, would you explain that my wife and I had our NAO2 three weeks after I filed our petition in 2006? Or did these crafty, calculating women that Maxx likes to fantasize about suddenly come to the attention of the USCIS, who issued a confidential memo to consular officers about how to sniff out such women from the photos, hotel receipts, and boarding pass stubs sent by their naive fiances?

FWIW, before I filed, another member smugly (and incorrectly) informed me that it would take longer to get approval for Russian fiancees than Ukrainian because the Ukrainian government was "closer" to the US than Putin & Co. Hogwash. There are so many odd rumors flying around Visajourney that it's hard to tell what's relevant.

If there was such a concern the place to address it would be the actual interview - how can anyone - particularly a government worker - tell who is genuine and who is not based on their petition?

Almost all petitions (K1) recieved at the Moscow Embassy are scheduled 3 months out from the NOA 2 as of the past year. You can almost count on it. NOA 1 to NOA 2 time is close to the same for all petitions recieved at USCIS.

This is longer than most countries. But its not because of extra scrutiny. I think the reason is Russia being Russia. With the country being as large as it is and the work required to gather information for the interview the Consular gives the time for the visa applicant to make the plans needed.

As far as I can tell and I have been involved with visa journey and USCIS way too long now. There is no differentiation between countries for a processed time on the petition. The length of time depends on the service center you have to use and I can state unequivocally the Vermont Service Center sucks a big'n.

After approval or denial, scheduled interview time could be another matter but even then I don't think it has anything to do with the country. Petitions for FSUW could take longer to research as the wheels of bureaucracy in the FSU turn almost as slow as these half-wits we have in America.

On a side note about USCIS, to keep my self from going crazy, and me being the software guy I am, I wrote some software that would extract all pending visa paper work from the USCIS.

Looking at all the cases via data base, you could see what cases were stored in the same box,what method the USCIS uses to determine what to work on. VS how many the case worker with that box was doing per day.

Strange thing is the more K1-S they get in the quicker your would be processed, after seeing how the USCIS works not via Time in queue but Quantity in queue, so if the current month goal was to reduce back log to 1000 in queue, and currently had 1010 in queue if 10 new cases came in then only 20 cases would be completed. Now if 1000 new cases came in, all cases that were in queue would be completed in a month.

Doug, you just described a woman who could come from any country.  Come to Ukraine, stay in any city for a month and get to know the real people who live here.  A real woman from Ukraine, will teach you many more things about real life than you could possibly ever imagine.  Don't let this one experience stop you from searching around the world.

I'd say that about 75% of the girls I meet at parties and such are as stupid as her. The remaining 25% are usually taken.  This is part of the reason I search for a potential wife abroad.

Sorry it did not work out.  Most RW, particularly the older ones, have been through a wringer that would devastate the average AW.  Out of necessity, RW are survivors and skeptics.    Some seem permanently calloused, as independent and tough as an alley cat.  Single, older RW here are perhaps driven by money (a guess, I have no info).  Nevertheless, in Russia there are some really sweet models full of love and wanting a man.

I suggest that you consider looking in Russia now that you have had a taste.  Not all that you experienced was bad.
