What in a Ten?

What’s in a ten?

There has been some discussion as to what constitutes a “10” and in general what is this thing we call a “scale” when rating another person’s physical appeal. I thought it would be interesting to explore that a bit and give some examples. I am sure everyone will have a different scale because we all like and focus on various parts of the opposite sex. One person might be drawn to an equine face, another to more rounded facial features and yet a woman may find herself drawn to a man with a chiseled jaw. Everyone is different and a person’s rating will go up or down depending upon how many of the features (or lack thereof) they exhibit to the particular viewer.

A few of the features I find myself drawn to time and again are as follows but in no particular order:
Height: I have in the last few years found that I am drawn to taller women. This gives the FSUW an advantage as they are on an average about 2 inches taller than AW.
Eyes: A great set of eyes and the ability to use them right can eat my soul 
A long slender neck: very attractive to me.
Short torso and long legs: kind of dangerous.
Smooth skin: Russian women tend to have small pores and thus incredibly smooth skin.
Small, well shaped ears: this is just a huge ‘turn on’ to me.
A deep voice with a little raspiness to it: do I need to explain it?

There are many, many others but why get too deep into it LOL. Besides, my priorities might change from one day to the next or from person to person. For example: if a women has world class legs I might bump her up on my scale even though her ears aren’t perfect in my eyes.

her ears aren’t perfect in my eyes.

Yeah, couldn't handle that. Her tongue in my ear has always tended to cause me to bump her up.  :P

All 10's in my books. Well at least 9.55 so I round up to 10. Everyone of them is a potential heart-breaker....!!

Unlike those fine women above I was having lots of fun chats with this sexy lady...Until I said goodbye to her (she was pissed) as I was thinning out my list...I consider her a 10 also. But wow would she be a stick of dynamite to handle in real life! Light her fuse by accident and run for your life!! :)

Hey Jolyrats I saw a Marina Orlova photo up there! So are you a big hotforwords fan? ha ha. I am! I showed her to my ex and she thought lovely Marina was a total bimbo fool but me, hey I think she is awesome!!

http://www.hotforwords.com/

She is a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10 if you ask me..she pushes the bar higher. It must be her bimbo-esque way of talking with her bobbing head and fluttering hands. At one point I watched her videos for like 4 hours straight lol.

Yes she was on Elena's ha ha. So did you get anywhere with her? I exchanged a few "hey's" and that was about it. I think she is from Ukraine somewhere. I think she is built rather pleasing to my eyes but so are so many women in that part of the world!

Well, I think that I'd prefer black/brown hair and eyes and wide shoulders. I also like men who move beautifully (many hispanic/latino men I saw in Spain, very few people I saw in Russia and Scandinavian countries, don't know about US).  But in fact these things are not of sooo much importance for me. 10 point appearance can be easily converted to -10 if a man doesn't have a sense of humor :).

To me, my fiancée is a 10 and I mean that sincerely, although I fully understand that a lot of other guys would rate her much lower (not that it would bother me in the slightest :D ). I've seen pictures of guys and their girls they rave about here and, to be honest, most leave me cold.  And that is the problem with something as subjective as this especially when you are deeply in love, as other factors come into play besides the purely physical.

FWIW, research shows that the more symmetrical and feminine a face, the more attractive men generally find it and women are even more attractive when they ovulate as the hormones tend to soften the features. Symmetrical features are tops for what women look for too but of course they look for more prominent masculine lines.

Ah, but would you have sex with them? :D

Seriously, we're not talking general aesthetics here, this 1 to 10 scale thing (which I personally think is silly and mainly meaningless given subjectivity) is usually used to denote a level of physical attraction.

i just told you, i feel she has an ugly face and i feel upset that he doesnt think im more beautiful than that walking ugliness. And i feel i wouldnt be as upset if he named somebody who i find beautiful. It is a pretty bad feeling, when your other half says you are uglier than a super ugly person (in your eyes)

Maybe you should look up the word subjective? And how do you know he doesn't find you more beautiful than her? Some guys when they say things like, "she is the most beautiful woman in the world" don't include you in their comparison. You are his wife not just a "woman" and are viewed as incomparable (and probably incomprehensible too ;D )

Aloe's husband is very young and hasn't learned how to keep his mouth shut yet. In time, Aloe will train him properly. ;)

The one I like best from all the photos is the third one from the top in JR's list, the Asian looking one.  I don't THINK the fact she's revealing the most breastasaurs influenced my decision, but as a man whose attention can be diverted with shiny objects (and those are certainly shining) it's a possibility. Really, I love dark hair and eyes, she has a very pretty, happy smile, and she just looks FUN... she'd be the first lady I'd seriously go after out of the group.

Well, let's just say that she a hell of a lot prettier than Yoko Ono there, John.  ;D
