I'm...asking newbies, and old-timers, to share about their user name and avatar.

The avatar I use is the truck I wish I had; not aspire to have, just wish I had.  My truck isn't nearly as pretty.  Nor as expensive.  ;D

My nickname is simple enough,...much like "SANDRO43", it my first name and year of birth. I use that name for a profile that I have on a couple Russian personals sites. My avatar is simply a photo of "Elena" and me at Kanal Griboedova in St. Petersburg (2002). Presently, in the Introduction section, I am posting a (novel) of my first trip to St. Petersburg. In that story, I have not (yet!) introduced you to her. She is originally from Belarus, thus that's why I have "Belarus" listed as her country.

Like Daveman, I have always been the class clown. In the early 90's, when I first got on the internet, I sometimes hung out in chat rooms, and assigned myself a nickname of "Mjr. Woody". That name used to get me major attention,....mostly from inquisitive females. I used to tell them my name was "Woody" and I obtained the rank of Major in the army. Of course, they didn't believe me! I've since grown-up a bit, and no longer use that nickname.

An avatar that I sometimes use, is that of the faithful dog of Dick Dastardly, "Muttley".

Don't have an avatar also because I am lazy.  :) The name, i don't usually give inside info on. Its basically my AOL name, also email should anyone bombard me with email. I wanted Ramiel, but that was taken, so then I went to Ramiel 6,that was also taken, so then I went to Remiel, which was also taken and finally to Remiel 6. To explain in part. Ramiel is an archangel (depending on what source you are refferring to) who is the only angel who can freely enter both heaven and hell(gods double agent i guess). he is listed as both a fallen angel and an archangel and given the task of guiding souls to judgment on judgment day. He has various names sometimes listed as Ramiel, sometimes, Remiel, sometimes, Phanuel. The six is simple has two reasons. 1) he's the sixth archangel, and 2) 6 six my lucky number, and for further strange thoughts. I've never lost at cards when drawing three sixes.  :o There is also a very intimate reason behind the name but for the moment it will stay top secret  :-X

Thanks for sharing, remie! Neat info on the archangel.

Kryten41 because when I went to set up an account somewhere my usual screen name wasn't available.  Being a fan of the British sci-fi comedy series "Red Dwarf", I tried "Lister". Taken.  I tried "Rimmer". Taken. I tried "Kryten". Taken. Frustrated, I stuck with Kryten and added my age at the time and have been using Kryten41 when my usual screen name is not available, or when I want a larger degree of anonymity.  Had Firefly been around at the time, I might be calling myself Jayne.  And yes, I did go through a phase when I referred to my streetrod as my TARDIS.

Simoni asked where my name came from. Not really much to tell. I have a friend that greets me that way when ever she IMs me in SecondLife. "Hello Bright dawn."

Makes me smile, so I've taken it as a handle.

I like the image. A new day, bright with possibilities.

Edit: Added an Avatar... I'd very much like to meet this woman. She inspired me to begin this search. A Russian model...

Thanks, Kryten.  I'm not the only one!  I don't know why I'm intrigued to discover people who appreciate such things through other venues.

I'd say something witty, but I have to go fight some GELFs  ;)
