Defining "nature"
« on: July 17, 2009, 04:41:08 PM »
When I read through the interests section of profiles on agency sites many say things regarding nature (going to nature, resting in nature, "...spending my free time with my friends in the nature." etc.), and I'm wondering if this reference has a common meaning. I'm guessing hiking, picnics, camping and stuff like that, but it's just a guess.
Any insight on what that most commonly refers to?
Thanks.  :)

M-H, when you're stumped about some strange English in FSUW's profiles/letters, also have a look at the Russglish Glossary (http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/mwiki/index.php?title=Russglish_Glossary) in our RWDpedia ;).

Many fsu girls live in cities, and very much appreciate getting out of the city into the country for such activities.   You'll also notice the city parks are BIG and used to the hilt.

Roughing it in the wilderness American style?  I think in most cases it does not mean that.  More likely, going to the Dacha or looking at a mountain from a distance.

Yes.

Dacha and observing a mountain from a distance probably wouldn't count.

Anyway, a good way would be asking her to elaborate on the subject. Another good topic for conversation.

Thanks everyone. I'd forgotten about the glossary, but it's not in there anyway.  ;)
Lily, I'm mostly in the looking and learning stage right now, so although I have written to a few ladies it's not something I do regularly.  :)

Sadly looking at mountains doesn't satisfy my wife's desire to "be in nature".

FSUW like to walk.  The only thing my wife likes to do more than walking is "walking in nature".  We frequently went bush walking - and she absolutely loves fishing - though both have been limited since the birth of our son.

Nature is all about fresh air,  trees, rivers, creeks, etc - and if at all possible, WILDLIFE!

Not as "Nature", but a little further down as:

Rest on (the) nature: Relaxing in the countryside.
