The first time I flew was in 2000 I think or 1999 and then you also got a shot of vodka. The last time I flew was in 2005 i think and everyone was clapping then. These days we usually drive as we bought a car there, or take the train, but usually drive. we don't get in a hurry when there.

dokrog. well basically i grew up next to a dairy farm in chesaning michigan. From an early age I was helping the farmer next door (who was childless). a kid's arm can inseminate a cow much easier than a grown mans you know. ;D He taught me a lot and by the time I was 18 and joined the usmc I was quite the farm vet. That carried over into life after the usmc where my skills became known and I started helping other neighbors with horses. Vets are horrendously expensive you know. So they started calling me dok rog. Roger being my first name.

Pardon me if I loose patience with you. I'm trying my best to be nice;) I honestly don't suffer idiots. Nor russian wenches with hidden and not so hidden agenda's. Lesson one for newbies. Learn Russian. Lesson two for newbies. "Be a damn man!"

Spent a bunch of time over there. *shrugs*

When I flew Ukraine Air from Vienna into Odessa I got the shot and everyone clapped when the plane landed.

I have done a lot in life.. but that is one thing I can say I have never done or even seen done.  I did live with six horses during my first year in Mexico, five mares and one very happy stud.. first time I saw that young stud doing his thing I was pretty shocked.. then I needed to find my GF immediately for some "odd" reason.. she ended up very happy that day and when she asked why I was so ardent.. laughed her head off when I told her about the horses.   Still makes me smile to think about 20+ years later.

You know, married 9 years I no longer get it as much as I did the first year that's for sure. My wife says "You have 2 children. Your not going anywhere". LOL

When I do want it I simply take it and never get an argument though, or not much of one. A far cry from my last AW. I think it's something they teach in school here in the U.S. After 12 months your supposed to cut sex with your husband by 2/3'rds.

*Blinks* I'll tell you the truth groovlstk, would anyways. At 3pm est yesterday I had been home from our warehouse for about 2 hours or so and was drinking beer. I only drink vodka, rum or single malt scotch when polite or not so polite company is present. My wife had been hammering at me for about that long trying to get me to tear off the railing on the front deck and put up a privacy barrier so that no one could see her if she wanted to sit or lay out there in a bikini. Now why she can't use the deck in the back I have no clue but I'm NOT putting up an ugly as sin privacy barrier in the front. With any woman you have to know when to give in and when to stand your ground.

Anyways, I had been successfully ignoring her for equally that long while drinking "beer" and chatting here on RWD while she looked over my shoulder and corrected little things. lot's of little things. She loves to correct and I like her leaning over my shoulder close for very obvious reasons. *Grins* She also wants to know what I'm writing about and since her eyesight isn't perfect and she dislikes wearing her glasses all the time she leans VERY close to see good. Of course she doesn't realise how close she's actually leaning.....

Anyways, all that leaning close was stirring up urges so I wrote that last and took care of business. What?? Is talking about sex taboo on this forum? I never did read the bylaws and have no intention of reading them. You guys will either follow my advice or you won't. It really doesn't matter to me in the slightest. I DO know what I'm talking about with the possible excepting of pricing for what I consider "little" things. I really don't pay attention to that stuff over there. RWD is my little way of having a little fun, passing on some experience and tweaking my wife. Maybe I should start a thread on sex??? *Winks* Not really. To be honest I have no interest in having any deep discussions on that subject. After 9 years of marriage I get it on average 3 times a week which at 46 is exactly what I want. The most important thing is that I get it when "I" want it.

Listen guys. With an RW or UW or any woman for that matter you just need to relax and not let all the BS upset you. I'm a pretty happy guy. It's almost impossible to make me angry. Even those workers I hired didn't make me angry although I had to pretend they did. Part way into it, I considered it a challenge to get a full days work out of them.It was actually quite fun and were very good friends.

It does less than no good fighting with your RW or UW or whatever. Your probably going to lose anyways. So why bother? Glutton for punishment? I let Olga have her way in almost everything but draw the line on things that matter to me, and I always stick to my line. And she knows I won't cross it but she argues anyways. And she knows I'm going to ignore her and it doesn't upset her although sometimes she pretends it does. *Laughs*

Every time we go over there she has to joke about me finding another woman without her around but I'm asking you guys "why"? She makes me happy, very happy and I provide the same for her. Young girls are mostly foolish anyways. Jeez.

In Russia I drink A LOT. In the U.S. I hardly drink. I think it's the people I hang out with. I mean. Only in Russia to you serve vodka with breakfast.

Sorry doc, maybe I misunderstood your post, but this:

seemed like you were saying that whenever you want sex you force your wife to comply. My apologies if your intent was different.

And no, sex is not out-of-bounds here  8)

LOL. Nah. I could cop the tough guy attitude and say she always wants it but boy that would be far from the truth. I simply know people and always have and my emotions/needs cycle off theirs. She's never forced "per sey". I'll leave that one alone for now.

Like any relationship between to consenting adults she knows she only has to say NO! I have and always will respect that. The trick gentlemen is knowing when she's saying yes while mouthing words like "I'm so busy" "my sister will call any minute" "I have to get ready for work" "The kids will hear us".

etc.........

After reading many many threads I've decided to start another one of my own. I would appreciate it if all of you refrained from responding until I get it all out. Some of you will laugh like crazy, some will probably curse me. Most will have their eyes opened. And just possibly I'll get banned but I doubt it. I'm going to explain ME and why I married a Russian woman vs an AW. I will write it before I start drinking I promise. *caveat* Actually you might have to worry about that if I were currently in Russia but I never ever get drunk in the U.S.

I think though, since I haven't read anything like it only responses to other threads, it's needed. Should be a pretty awesome thread.

Hello Dokrog and welcome to RWD.

I find your posts both refreshing and entertaining, BUT....I have a question.

Of your 9 years of marriage, exactly how much time has your wife spent here in the GoodOl' USA?

Please keep posting.

He He. Not as much as she'll be able to go from now on maybe. She just now got her U.S. citizenship. Hooray! Sort of I think. The bad part is she has to go to Russia with a visa now or maybe not. Were in uncharted territory so were not sure how the dual citizenship thing works. If anyone knows speak up!

Basically though. Came in Oct 2000, went back in 2001 for 3 mos (wasn't sure if she'd be back to be honest. couldn't go with her was embroiled in custody battle for my son against his maternal grandparents, more white trash. I won of course. When pissed I'm absolutely vicious and believe in fighting as dirty as I can)

We went back in 2002 twice I think. 2003 to 2005 she never went. was fulltime in college getting a nursing degree to add to her teaching one. I went in 2004 alone to say HI of course.
2006 twice. 2007 twice, and 2008 and 2009 once each for about 3 mos every time.

Utro: That's wonderful! I've noticed the girls prefer someone from their territory. To be honest my wife prefers NOT to know muscovites for instance. Hmmm. Nor gypsey's. Uhm. Nor... never mind.

Are you in Russia now? Or Canada?

Roger, I'm in Canada, Barrie Ontario. I was in Kirov 4 times in 2008, February, April, July and December..... Twice this year, January and February. We were married in Jamaica in April. I was supposed to go back this month, but Surprise! Surprise! my government has allowed Sveta to visit Canada on a 3 month Visitor Visa!! She'll be landing in Toronto next week, July 30th!!   :kissing:

Sveta feels the same about Moscovites :)

BTW, Medvedev visited in May.... here's an example of the Road Repairs that were done in Kirov for his visit!!!  :D

Utro. What the hell is your name anyways. Can you share it?

Well that figures about Medvedev's visit. same would happen here or there in CA. You get there much more than I do lately. I have a very hard time getting away from the business.

Wooo HOoooo. Congrats on the visa. That's awesome! Darn. I know you can't wait. jeez. My wifes brother will be here on the 7th.

Shoot. your only about 8 hours away by car. We were thinking of going to niagara falls the first week of august. I know you'll be busy but we travel a lot. and we go to canada a lot. Olga loves going to windsor for lunch on the weekends.

Yes, it'll be her first time in Canada.... maybe her last?!? lol!!
She spent 6 weeks in the USA in 1995(?) She was one of a chosen few sent by the Yeltsin government to show young Russians that, no matter the race or religion we are all the same in this world :) Well.... of all those 65 Russian highschoolers sent to BILOXI MISSISSIPI that year... not one came home believing it.... anymore :( lol!!!!

Hmmm, ironic enough, we are supposed to go to Niagara Falls, Great Wolf Lodge, the first week of August with my kids :)

Dave that's awesome and sounds like a plan. we went to great wolf lodge last fall. Kids loved it, the slides were great and it was good for us too. *grins wickedly*

I'm assuming Eric, that he meant the Russian's were disillusioned by American society. After all they pulled kids from all over the soviet union. They come to america and find we are no longer a centrist society. Sure things are pretty good here compared to there but everyone wants something for nothing.

Have to get back to my story before I get more depressed.

Nyet probyem Rog, loving your new thread :)

Sculpt, these kids were sent to America with open minds believing the propaganda from their new Russian Leaders, 'that no matter where you are from people are all the same'. This was nothing more than a 'feel good' program created by the Yeltsinites into getting more aid from America... much more than Bush Legs! The schools that these kids were sent to were 100% black. This in itself should not be an issue!! Okay Sculpt, don't hang me yet.... But, my friend...... the discrimination that these Russian kids experienced, including my Svetlana, was unbelievable.... It still scars her today and was not what she was prepared for :(

That is exactly what I suspected Utro.  I had a long talk with "A" about black people.  Don't anyone get their panties bunched!  I have numerous very close friends that are black.. but.. at the same time.. they are solid middle class people who go to church and have tight families.  They don't wear baggy pants or speak ebonics.  While I might have empathy for the conditions under which these people live, I never discount personal choice and when someone chooses to be a baggy pants ebonics speaking wannabe gansta I choose not to associate with such individuals.  I can also understand how those poor Russian kids were tortured for being white.  They became the object of the hatred and anger.  I feel really bad for them.  I explained in explicit detail to "A" that such thuggish blacks will not see her as Russian or even care for one second.. she is white.. end of story.. and she can easily be treated very badly because of it.  I also explained to her the difference of those middle class church goers and that they are often amazing people.  I think she understood the whole thing.  I will take her to Glide Memorial Church soon after she arrives here.  See the music thread for a song!  :)  lol.. yeah the Jewish boy goes to the Black Gospel Church several times a year!  :)

Yes it was. Including the school administration being so paranoid, that they told these kids to stop speaking Russian between themselves in groups! Lots of comments made about their dress, their skin, their hair.... and the black girls throwing out racist comments because their BF's were paying attention to these hot young Ruskies :(

Well hell. Who ever said the gov was smart? IN any country? Ask your sweet Sveta (damn that name brings back memories but she was blonde) how much she respects her gov. I bet she respects specific individuals in it and not the entity.

Somewhat content with the Leader, as of late.... Medvedev.... not excited... but says Russia is better off with two Leaders (Putin) and it seems to be working okay? Althogh nobody she knows actually admits to voting for United Russia?? Feels that Russia is actually weathering the global economic crisis better than many countries. Russia is not a democracy, and Russians still love and seek a Tsar... which is why Putin is tolerated? The modern day King! She hates corruption which is broad, from high officials to cleaners...... thinks it's in the Russian psyche! Where does it end??

Well. All of that is a good statement and a good question. Putin is undeniably in charge. Corruption? That goes back to way before the Tsar's. As it does in any country with an adequate history. Realistically there is only one leader and Putin will run again in the next election most likely. Ask Sveta!!! No nobody I know voted for it either. LOL. In the opinion of one only and bear in mind I am not only licensed as an electrical engineer but also have a degree in accounting and I'm working on one in computer programming as I'm able, that the breakup was for economic...no monetary reasons for the most part. Now you have most of the worlds billionaires in Russia. go figure. And Russia hosts the thousand millionaire club. grins. they did it for money. anyone who thinks otherwise is simply naive and foolish.

But I draw a distinction between the gov of Russia and the good people in general. They are definately two very different species as I will get to in my rambling on my new thread.

Lord Acton in a letter to Bishop Mandell Creighton in 1887 said "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."

Shrugs. fits just about every gov if you dig deep. Russians are just more transparent that most as they get irritated. *laughs*

I figured it was Mississippi...

Would have been a much different result in LA or many other American cities.
