My wife and dauhter are on thier way back to now!

I am excited watcher her flight coming back (to Atlanta). I am happy I have a wife I miss so much. Our first year was really good - I have heard the first year is the hardest but ours was really easy. She is a very kind woman - somehow she never raised her voice at me all year. What a change from my last wife. Almost every time I come home I see nothing but smiles and get nothing but hugs. It is so nice to come home to such a happy woman after a stressful day of work. She stayed 5 weeks but said she ready to come home after 2. Her daughter really needed to spend the time with her grandmother, father and half sister i think though. Anyway, just excited and wanted to wish everyone well.

Wishing you two continued joy when you are reunited. I can relate. Mrs and our son are hmmmmmmm looking at my watch, they should be transiting through Hong Kong airport right now and within about an hour boarding for their last (9 1/2 hour) leg of the 48 hour journey home. We all (and others) left for Russia 5 weeks ago yesterday and I returned 2 weeks ago. Coming home to an empty house and waiting a couple of weeks for the beloved ones to return ain't fun. 7 hours before I take the two hour drive to the airport but who's counting.

Chade- I know what you mean.  Marina and her daughter just came back 2 weeks ago from Russia after visiting for 3 weeks.  I missed her so much meeting me at the door, the loving person that she is.  They were ready to come back after a few days.  I know you will glad to see your wife soon.  Don' t forget to change your status to "married" now -jj

Job's done now. OMG there was panic just after I wrote that post last night by which time she should............have been boarding the last flight. Minor problem was she was still on the incoming flight from Beijing which was delayed (as was mine two weeks before due to some effup the Chinese had made......yet again. Typically mainland China, everything is badly run and poorly organised with the major problem being they refuse to provide information and ALL the pilots complain about Beijing airport in this respect. Having been there twice now, I have no patience with the place anymore and if China is to be the new world leader as some of the deluded idiots think, then God help the rest of us).

Mrs called me as they landed at Hong Kong (The first time her phone had worked since she left Omsk) in a panic as she had no hope of making the connection. I think I called (and yelled) at every service desk in Hong Kong international until someone would give me an audience. I eventually got through to them that she WAS now in the airport and WOULD make the plane if they called the PA again (BTW All credit to Hong Kong airport. Been through there several times and it is well run and well organised with super service, pity their northern brothers wouldn't learn a thing or two from them).

This has been a logistical trip from hell both out and in but the overall result has been positive and all is well that ends well.
