Hello Oxana, and welcome to RWD.

Or... maybe talking to me will be useful for someone.
I think the opinions of a very young Russian woman like yourself will be helpful in our constant debates on how FSUW approach and view relationships with foreigners ;D.

Hi Oxana(Bitter Sweet). Are you more bitter :(, more sweet :) or about 50/50? Do you mind if I ask how old your American boy is? Very rare do we see a very young Western man being financially able to or wanting to go to the FSU in search of love.
Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.

Welcome Bitter-Sweet!  A lot of people around here would probably enjoy learning more about your perspective, not to mention your nickname.  ;)

I'll do my best to help you, guys  ;D

More like 50/50 and a lot depends on a situation.  :)

Do you mind if I ask how old your American boy is? Very rare do we see a very young Western man being financially able to or wanting to go to the FSU in search of love.
He's 23, so he's still pretty much a boy :) He was never looking for a girl from the FSU, neither did I look for an American boy, it just happened... we met in the States actually :D

Hi B-S. You'll probably get questions when the topic of age difference with young ladies comes up.   ;D

Hi Bitter-Sweet! Nice to see you here. When I met my first wife from Ukraine in 2000 she was 19 and we were married when she was 20 and she moved to Canada. 9 years later our marriage ended but we are still friends and she has her own life now in Canada and she is a citizen with a university dergree from here. I was 28 at the time when we met. Your guy is 23 - pretty young. I hope if you are serious, he is serious. At 23 I wasn't ... at least not enough for a really long distance relationship! Best of luck to you! Keep us informed about what happens and try not to take what all the guys say here too seriously after all we are just a bunch of guys after all engaged in the greatest sport in the world!...RW!!
On the 2nd go-round. Married 9 years to a RW already!

I have some questions if you do not mind to answer.

What were you doing in the States and how did you arrive here?

Has he been to visit you in Russia?

Do you have serious plans together?

MatryoshkaMan, thanks for the story and for your advice. I really appreciate this.
His mom says that he is pretty much serious and the fact that on friday nights he comes to her and logs on skype instead of hanging out with friends means a lot.  :)

There's no problem answering this questions.

1. I participated in Work and Travel program, so I was working and tried to travel to as many places as I could.
2. Yes, he visited me in Russia. We are trying to do the following thing now: in summer i come to visit him in the States, in winter he comes to visit me in Russia.
So, actually, at the moment I am in the States again.
3. We do have some plans... if everything is as good as it is now, i will come to live in the States, but  i want to graduate first (and i have to study for 2 more years).

Thanks everybody one more time.  :)

It has been important for me for a long time. I've been looking forward to get this education in that exactly university since i was 13. And i put a lot of time and effort to get it for free and i like it there.
Besides, I think, that if something is meant to happen, it will happen, so if it is love, 2 years are not going to change it. And if I leave everybody and everything in Russia and one day we just break up, i'll regret making that decision.

When discussing the opinions of young FSU women, you can't see the inherent value of asking the opinion of a young FSU woman?  ::)

Why are the most simple, common sense things constantly questioned on this site?

Very true. And if you stay together but left the free education you might come to regret that also. Sounds like you have thought this thru.

Best of everything to you :)

I can share my opinion even now. More than 10 years of age difference is not acceptable for me. But i'm not going to blame anyone.

Thanks. I did think it through.  :)
