Does anyone know of a package of CD's that help a Russian speaker to learn English?

Ken,

My wife swears by "Bridge To English" as she loved the method of teaching and testing throughout the courses.  I'm not sure how many CD's are available in all but there's heaps of different materials available here:  http://www.lingualearn.co.uk/learners/ru/index.htm

(You can buy from Amazon too I think)

Based on my wife's testimonial, I share this recommendation. It's entry level but the lessons are quite helpful for beginners. You can actually order one here. The second one down is for Russian speakers.

I study languages as a hobby.  I always start out with the Pimsleur cassettes for each language that I study.

There's a 30-lesson version for English for native Russian speakers.  Obviously, I haven't used this version myself, but I've studied Russian, Spanish and French with Pimsleur and found them to be quite good.

There appears to be a torrent for it... not that I'd ever advocate such theft of intellectual property.  :rolleyes2:
